A friend has been offered a role as an independent contractor commercial counsel for a pre IPO tech company in NYC (roughly 10-20 hrs/wk) with the possibility of becoming a full time offer. He has roughly 3 yoe and was at a V10 firm doing tech transactions work but took time off for health. Analyst here at a firm that begins with A. Got an offer with a research lab doing cyber/ ISSO stuff. Pays more than a make now and more than I’d make until I hit senior consultant or manager even. Growth however I think is slower but I’d be doing more technical work. Worth leaving consulting for this?
