I see a values misfit and perhaps it’s best for you to part ways. It’s absolutely fair for a private organization to take a position for broader public benefit. Your kids have to be vaccinated to get into schools. a lot of African countries still follow a vaccine passport for yellow fever and TB for you to enter their countries. Would you go and sue the country for them to ask you if you’re vaccinated against yellow fever?

So unless you really have a legitimate reason to not get vaccinated (which is probably 0.00001% of our population), there is no reason you shouldn’t.

Also, for an org that size, I’m fairly confident they checked on the legal viability before rolling this out.

Again, I’m not American and so I have to confess I don’t completely empathize with the ‘liberty’ and ‘independence’ emotions, but looking at this objectively, I think it’s a bold move and wish other firms follow suit.

A1 - the “threat” is literally the same if you don’t fill out your time sheet on time….at EY, they would dock your VC for enough missed timesheets. Should I have stormed out and quit because they were threatening me to fill out my timesheets?

Same thing with compliance trainings, CPE, utilization, etc

It’s not a threat, it’s a little bit of an encouragement to get those that normally would non-comply to get it done. Just like how fines and jail time works for those that break the law.

Accenture is doing the right thing. Hell all companies should do this and similar to that they require to wear cloth and disclose your work authorization status, they should require your vaccination status also and if you dont comply, then start looking for alternatives..

If you are vaccinated, just like you have work authorization then you are welcome to apply and get employment...

They’ll dock 10% of your raise / VC

Ie if you were to get a 10k raise, they’ll only give you 9k...

Additionally they’re not forcing you to get vaccinated, only to explain if you are, are not, or are not planning to.

I fail to see how this is such a big deal? Kids are required to share their medical records to go to school...

As pointed out by D1 and VP1, companies have been getting away with injustices for far too long

I will do my part by refusing to disclose my personal information such as vaccination status, current drug use, or time sheets

I feel like the survey was a method to weed out these melodramatic and sensitive people. Based on this thread it’s working.

Companies are allowed to require you to get vaccinated as a condition of employment. It is a relevant question to client travel, onsite presence, etc.

If your feelings of privacy are bristled you really need to just get over yourself and more importantly you need to get the stupid vaccine. Stop being stubborn, your reasons for avoiding the vaccine range from infantile to irrational to misinformed.

It's just matter of time before everyone requires this information. How do they open offices to everyone without knowing that they are vaccinated? And trust me clients may need tax cuts and support Repubs but will insist everyone is vaccinated before coming to work (e.g. FOX NEWS). I doubt client will see this as your privacy right and allow you to work from their offices.

it’s not docking pay for not getting vaccinated. they’re docking peoples raises and bonuses for not filling out a required survey that simply ASKS your vaccination status. we can already get dinged on our bonus if we miss compliance requirements - this is just another compliance requirement like submitting time sheets every day
