My suggestion would be to just ask the hiring manager. No need to drive yourself crazy trying to guess what the dress code is.
Observe your co-workers first and the type of work clothes they wear. But button-downs and khaki pants are my go-to.

Ideally I'd go for button-down and chinos. Once you start, observe your coworkers and if there are any dress codes you need to follow.
When in doubt, go business casual. You don't want to be overdressed, to me, underdressed is better. Of course you won't go into the office with sweatpants on. For your first day, just some nice pants, a nice shirt, and nice shoes, and you should be fine.
I got a bunch of nice shirts from Brooks Brothers and the like and I just rotate them
