For my mid-sized ladies (like size 12-16) how do you go about dating? I feel like guys aren’t into the in-between because myself and all the ladies I know of similar size are single af and don’t do well on the apps, and just get glanced over in person as soon as someone thinner walks by

I’m between 10-12 depending on type of outfit and a little short so feel like I understand this pain! I think choosing the right cuts and colors goes a long way in helping to define my body shape in a flattering way. Experiment with styles, layering and color blocking and maybe find some inspiration from fashion/ style shows like queer eye! Then it’s a matter of finding good lighting and angles for pictures to use on the apps. All that said, the right man won’t fixate on your physical appearance alone and will care more about personality. My current SO definitely falls in this category so don’t give up hope! Dating on these apps is a crapshoot anyway and everyone of every size needs a bit of luck to find the one!

Agree with you here OP, trying to look different in the pictures is a bad idea-- will just create opportunities for you to be made to feel bad!

I'm a size 12 and 5 3 and married now but what I've thought was that my body was what I felt was the deal breaker on potential relationships and retroactively feel that was more my insecurity explaining any lack of chemistry or rejection away. Truth is vas majority of first dates won't be great fits for any number of reasons. Whether it is your body or their job or politics doesn't really matter... Developing the emotional agility to move on and not interpret as any reflection on you (either how you are, what you look like or how you choose dates!) is a better use of your time. I'd be really honest in pictures and not waste any time on people that aren't excited to date you that way. People's attractions are also not always binary (even for folks that do care about this) some will love curves without feeling like need to explain anything to their friends so love that middle ground

In exactly the same situation and no idea what to do. Sorry no helpful advice for you OP but right there with you.

I mean, I'm not single anymore but I did great on the apps at those sizes. And not with men who didn't care about physical appearance, I don't know wtf that comment was supposed to mean. Maybe it's the kind of guys you're fixated on? Or more likely, maybe it's a confidence thing? If you give off energy that says you're a catch men will often believe you. .

lol your comment was about as helpful as mine 😂 maybe they need to take away our chief badges

Following! Used to do well with IRL but struggle with the same on apps.

I know, it’s terrible! I’m in a cold climate, so first meet up these days is with a mask and heavy winter coat, which definitely doesn’t help things.

lol so it seems like it’s a struggle until it’s not... great 😅 glad im not alone though

What is the best path for discovering senior roles in consulting firms? I notice that most don't actively recruit for the Managing Director/high level positions. Is that because there is no job or because you need to come with something special? How do you get the attention of firm recruiters for high level positions to have a discussion about best fit?
