I joined a pro bono project that frankly sucks. The idea just isn't well conceived and I feel like it's waste of everyone's time. I was asked my salary expectations for a role so I tried to do research on it and ended up finding nothing for the NYC area. So then I just went based of my salary 70k (now) in Dallas to 88k max and they said no. Then I went lower. Then they ended up calling me saying no. Then I finally asked if this is a new position since I couldn’t find any info on it and it is. So they ended up giving me their max comp of 80. Recently, I went to get a massage and it was the worst I’ve had. The masseuse was clearly visually impaired (blind). But that wasn’t an issue. The technique wasn’t there and a few of her fingers were rough (like callouses) so they kinda scratched me during the massage. I couldn’t enjoy it at all. But, considering the circumstances, I decided not to complain because I think its commendable that she gets up everyday to work and earn an honest living and I don’t want to jeopardize that in any way…

Got married in Jan 19, got temporary GC a year later. We stayed married for 21 months & living separately for 6M now. Applying for a no-fault divorce & my GC is due renewal this Nov. My Prevailing Wage Determination was filed with USCIS in Feb. And I got promoted in June from C to SC. The lawyers just reached out informing me that they have received the job classification from DOL with the role listed as Consulting, Consultant (which is accurate at the time of filing but not now). I know stupid question, but I am very cautious about statuses and stuff and needed to ask since it’s out of mainland.
I am on H1B which got transitioned from F1 2 years back. I don’t have stamping on my visa for it and F1 visa on passport has expired long back. So going to Hawaii would be a risk or it’s treated same as going to Texas or wherever on the mainland?
