Does anyone on here have experience from before the mid 1990s? Would really enjoy a super detailed long description of the way accounting/auditing used to be. Systems, processes, culture, office env..
Need to give notice to my firm tomorrow. Feeling overcome with emotion (guilt, nostalgia, excitement and trepidation). I don't think it will go well because it's a small firm, and I am very close to the partners, but need to move on to achieve career goals (and maintain sanity--I have a great relationship with my colleagues but there is a toxic culture). Truly think that my mentor will see this as a personal betrayal and blow up at me, and I'm sad to burn the bridge. Any words of encouragement?
From a company culture standpoint, which consulting firms have the best and worst people
Confession - I don't want to go back to office. I'm happy working from home and find no solid reason in stepping back. I hope the flexi work culture allows permanent WFH - I don't have a "good enough" reason, but I don't want to go (isn't this good enough?) It's been 1.5 years now, too comfortable to step out from my PJs to jeans.
EY PAS vs PwC Workforce Transformation? Rep, culture, types of projects, etc. Entry-level
Anyone heard of bridgebio or know anything about the culture? Company mission and goals sound cool, but curious if anyone has an inside scoop
My mental health is really suffering because of family drama. Primarily, it's the toxic sexism in my culture (Indian)- feels very unfair how my mom and I get treated, especially by the males (and some toxic females) in the family. Any advice on how to navigate the double standards and lack of decency/respect? I do have a therapist but don't feel as supported with this. Just feeling really depressed, so any constructive thoughts/advice is super helpful.
Where’s the best consultancy to work at for digital people? Who has a great culture and supports there people? Convince me why I should work at your company.
Anyone notice how IBM is recently winning a ton of "best places to work" awards? Most are all pay to play. After having worked at IBM, I can attest first hand to its horrible culture and many poor leaders - it's is NOT a best place to work. Just causes me to question the validity of all of these public awards and recognition.
How's the work culture for Salesforce in Amazon? How's the WLB? More specific to India but if someone could provide insights in general, that would also be helpful. Amazon
I accepted a job from a place my friend works. She got me in and I'd be dropping a title level but making the same $ as my previous role. I accept and 1 day later my #1 on the list came through. better title, pay and benefits. The first company is stoked to have me and everyone is nice. I'm sure on the culture. I reached out to company 2 the week before I accepted this offer and they weren't ready, but now they are. They seem great, but so does everyone when you meet them. What do I do?
Just wanted to say, I visited Atlanta last weekend with some friends and the black excellence was such an unexpected and welcoming culture shock. From the min I landed I was not a minority in literally any location we went to. It made me realize that there’s a deferent relaxing feeling when you truly blend in.
I dont think PwC is for me, culture wise and team wise but not ready to leave big4 and or public account yet since I think I still have so much to learn. I have 1 year experience and At least trying to get one-two more but cannot stay at PwC for that long. Any suggestions on next move? I am primarily leaving because I cant get out of Financial services practice and my team is not supportive/collaborative. ( super cutthroat I feel over here). Looking to leave by end of year
Started a new role in early August, excited because the opportunity sounded like it was very close to my old job in management and culture. The truth is that it’s not, but no one seems willing to admit it. I feel like I got the rug pulled out from under me, but also feels too soon to be looking to switch again. Am I crazy for considering looking for a better fit so soon?
Does anyone know about this company epam? I got an offer as product manager and wanted to know what’s the culture like and is it a good place to be
Has anyone transitioned from Deloitte to McKinsey as a non-MBA masters? How did you make the transition? How is the culture different? What are the pros/cons?
Some general question as I am not 100% on the culture. We forgot our daughter’s scooter at our community park. We see the same brand and color scooter at someone’s driveway near the park. Contd..
My firm conducted an anonymous survey about a range of topics including compensation, outlook, satisfaction, etc… turns out they were able to track it back to specific offices and levels within those as well. Doesn’t that ruin the whole point of anonymous if you’re part of a small office?
What’s a reasonable answer when a small, independent agency asks what your desired salary is? Info on Glassdoor is limited given they’re all smaller. For context, I’m a junior with just a little over a year of experience so v green. Thanks!
I'm contemplating having a kid every year just to get the maternity leave. 6 kids is probably worth not working a quarter of the year.
Amex Gold for food + Citi Prestige/Double Cash or CSR/Freedom Unlimited for travelling? I’m torn in between the the Citi and Chase ecosystems. If I enjoy international travels more which is the better system and why? Would love to hear inputs thanks guys!
I went back to the office this month (3/4 days per week) and it’s been a positive experience. Plus it seems that some partners who are going in appreciated it. But the office is a 15 min drive away for me. Some people need to commute an hour plus to be there. Will they be at a disadvantage if they actually try to take advantage of hybrid WFH in the future?
Have you all started shopping for regular office clothes again? Or have you always been wearing office clothes for wfh for the past year?
Is “Senior” at EY a high level role? I am currently a Senior and this is the first progression point after campus hire. Didn’t get an interview which is puzzling because I have great experience relevant to the posting. 2YOE
United Credit card question - do we get one extra checked bag (total 2 bags)? One bag is included in the fare and will I get one extra bag because of the card?
Anyone went to Otay Mesa, San Diego to get their i94 extended for their H1b visa in past 3 months? The border shows closed for non essential travel and I don’t want to risk coming back into US. Please help me out!
What are the salary levels in Big 4 consulting? From MBA stats, intro pay seems to be the same as MBB. But on FB, I’m seeing people say Manager level pay is lower than 1st year Consultant salary at MBB. Which is it?
Any experience with Deloitte’s assessment center interview where they ask you to create a case study presentation in PowerPoint? Please share.

If coming from a non-target school, should I mention that I got into deferred M7 MBA on my resume. I'm trying to lateral right now but I'm not sure how helpful the "better branding" is for this process. Sidenote: If any T2 firms are hiring laterals, I would love to chat.
ZS Associates What is the salary range for consultant in BT capability ? I have to negotiate with the HR so wanted to know the current range to negotiate better. Is there any min period before next promotion?
