For privacy consultants in this group - how did you break into privacy consulting? Did you just cold apply or did you have a referral? I graduated law school a couple months ago and took the bar exam, but I'd like to pursue privacy consulting. I took the CIPP/US exam during law school and have some privacy experience at a law firm, but no consulting experience.

Hi! New here, I was offered a contract position but I’m a newbie LPN so Im looking for any advice or guidance you guys have to offer! I meet with HR tomorrow to discuss the contract. Here are the details..it would be a 90 day contract position working weekend nights at a long term care facility in a very rural area. I would be working on a dementia unit with 28 residents currently. I would be driving an hour and a half one way so 9 hours drive time a weekend. Pay is $45/hour.

Currently a C doing implementations. Would moving to a FAANG as a business intelligence engineer a step up or down from my current role? Would I have better exit ops as a BIE if I want to move around to another tech company?

Advice plz: is there anyone who left as an experienced senior and regret not making manager? I’m at my promotion year this year and honestly I don’t care if I make manager or not. I always know that I will exit public accounting one day but I never knew when will that be. The past year my mentality has shifted quite a bit, perhaps it has something to do with my newborn child. We're seeing alot of posts similar to 'whats a good salary for X location'? When asking questions like this, please provide as much info as possible, it makes all our lives easier when attempting to answer.

Examples of helpful clarifying info:

I just received a verbal offer at a VC and am now just waiting for my contract/compensation details to come through. People say to never accept your first offer, but I am aware that I’m pretty unqualified compared to their normal hire (I’m a “culture fit”). It’s a dream role & a dream company. How hard should I push for compensation?

I can't believe the argument I'm having right now. I use excel to track savings(401,Roth,etc) that I want the YTD to update as I contribute ea month.
Not the best with Excel yet, but I calculate the YTD total by referencing the cell of the prior month and adding to the current months total box- is this the most efficient way to do this? Thanks!
