Finished interviewing for an ATS role at Microsoft Wednesday. The interviewers said they were recommending me but I haven’t gotten any feedback from the recruiter. I’m at PwC S& and in consulting I always got at least a verbal yes day of or next day after interviewing. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Do you get a verbal first or do they wait to have a contract?

I got a verbal offer from ACN two weeks ago, and the recruiter told me I could expect a written offer in a few days. I haven’t receive it by now…followed up with the recruiter today, and she told me hopefully I will get it over the weekend or by Monday. Is this normal? Should I be worried? The recruiter told me they really wanted me and the team has a lot of projects lining up and I really like the team..Accenture

McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Hey everyone -
Not the exact right bowl, but looking for advice/referrals for a close family friend trying to break into ESG/climate change/sustainability consulting.
They have ~7 YOE in finance (mostly junk debt, some S&T) and 20 YOE in development banking at an IGO (think World Bank, doing everything from public debt offerings, infrastructure, etc. all w heavy ESG/compliance requirements).
Thanks for the help!

I’ve seen more posts recently where my connections are sharing that they are Open to Work. I believe LinkedIn has a template where you can make an official-looking post. Personally, I think this should suffice. However, I would still mention that you are open to connecting with people, maybe reviewing your resume 1-on-1, etc.
I think the value in this post is that others can share your post with their networks as well!
It might help since you’d have more exposure. How much? I don’t know. But posting puts you on peoples feed, updating your profile picture with #opentowork doesn’t. The more people that know the more people that might help you. And recruiters love to post that they helped people because it makes them look good. As they say, closed mouths don’t get fed.
I make it a point to leave up that I’m actively looking from when I went to a previous position to my current position. No reason to change it.
