For someone that is a General Management Consultant (GMC) in healthcare consulting. Is leading ETL or data migration projects as a scrum master good in terms of exit opps and skills needs? If so what career trajectories are there?

I am presently working as a Research Analyst (MBA 1.5 YoE) with EY GDS and I wish to work in HR or Talent function. What should I do to switch into those roles.

Deloitte reached out on LinkedIn for an advisory principle/md opportunity in Jan/feb. spoke with the recruiter and was ghosted - figured it was dead and didn’t follow up as I’m pretty happy in my role. Now a new internal Deloitte exec recruiter contacted me to follow up…6 months after being ghosted. Any thoughts on partner/principle recruitment process at Deloitte? Is Deloitte wasting my time? I am prior military and went to law school. I had a family to take care of while I was a student, hence I went as fast as possible to get to a paycheck, graduating in 2 years, and bypassing the standard summer clerkships. How could I get some experience strictly remote? I am w-2 working as an accountant in healthcare, have passed the bar and am working on my CPA license (studying starts at 3 am, then work FT). I would like to eventually hang a shingle as a tax lawyer, but need experience. TIA!

I have been an officer at the department for 5 years and have deal with nothing but toxicity. I’m looking to possibly stay in the field by going to another department or completely overhaul my life by leaving law enforcement. It has caused trouble in my personal life and caused me to dial back who I am professionally. Not sure what my next step is.

We have 5 attorneys (3 partners; 2 associates). Senior associate (who is being promoted to non-equity partner) is pregnant. We don’t have any sort of maternity policy but she will have 3 weeks of PTO to cash in. How do other firms handle cost of insurance premiums while ee is out? We currently cover ee portion and she pays for 100% of dependent cost. Is it reasonable to ask her to write check back to firm for her portion of dependent premiums? Assume she is taking full 4 mos off.

I work at an manufacturing company as a technician. My job title is a technician but they use me as an engineer as-well. There are three techs overall in the company. My boss who hired me understands what my degree is in so he uses me to design parts and write reports. The plant manager doesn’t know my skills so anytime I’m in the office working he calls me to the floor to do something the other techs can do. Should I have a talk with the boss about it? (I ran out of characters)

Looking for career advice. I’m based in Canada, MCOL area, and barely making ends meet at 62k total comp. Several YOE but only 6mo in the field, master’s degree in an unrelated field, currently pursuing a graduate degree in org dev. I am trying to write a stock letter to send to parents everyday that their child does not come to virtual learning sessions. I have been told by administration that even though I have spoken to parents and know why students are not coming to zoom classes, that we still need to contact them everytime they dont come. I’m having the hardest time finding a new job. I have 12 years of HR experience, a masters in HR, SHRM certification, and all I keep getting are rejection emails. I’ve never experienced this difficult of a time searching for new opportunities. Is this normal once you hit a certain level in your career or is it just me?
