Was scheduled to fly to the client site early Monday morning, as I have been almost every week for the past 4 months. Manager texted me at 1:30 pm today to “confirm” I was arriving Sunday night 😡😡

Anyone either live the nomad work lifestyle during the pandemic or plan to do so in a fully remote position anytime soon? For those that have, any advice-(the good bad and ugly)? What should I consider? Was the mobile hotspot sufficient to work? Did you have designated relocation/travel days on weekends? As a late 20s single male, I’m heavily considering buying and living out of a traveling van and doing it for about a year or so.

I made it almost 3 years at my agency without ever really getting “the Sunday scaries”.

Company I'm at has me on day rate and wants to swap me to hourly. Do a lot of you charge 1.5x on weekends or normal? Also, do you ever charge half days vs full days on weekends?

I've checked Glassdoor & LinkedIn Salary, but I wanted to get some more insight from actual people. I'm a Business Data Analyst in Houston w/total comp of $76k after 1 YOE--is this reasonable? I'm grateful for what I earn, but I do want to know if I'm oblivious to the market.

Considering going back to Big4, offer on the table for 20% pay bump and a lot of (actual) learning opportunities in a new area for me that I’m interested in growing my skills. I’m comfortable in my current gig from an hours and money perspective, but mostly concerned with talk of recession AND going to Big4, being a new person on the team without a solid book yet, and potentially being first to be let go if people get spooked or things get bad. Thoughts from a partner? 🔮

5 years ago I was an account intern with no book at a mediocre at best agency. No portfolio school. Today, I’m a writer at a top agency in NYC. Don’t let your dreams be dreams, friends!
