Succession vs Billions?
Hi! I am curious about getting into digital marketing at the Big 4 or another consulting firm. I am not a fresher either, I am a more experienced professional. have worked at other Fortune 500 companies within digital marketing. To complicate it, I would need a skilled worker visa sponsorship. I see lots of threads on here where it is totally possible. May anyone from Deloitte Accenture Capgemini or other firms share their experiences?
Many thanks!
What do you think of gamification?
In Chicago. Single guy. I’ve lived in bad apartments before and it’s NOT worth it. Not going back. I shopped for convertible studios but found a full 1BR in the same price range (thanks to couple months free)
I’d go with something nice. Thursday-Sunday is a critical time and you should have a place nicer than the hotels you stay at.
I stay in nice hotels when I travel for work but true
I live in luxury studio in the Chicago suburbs... it's more money than I'd like to pay but it's worth it every Thursday when I come home. Having laundry in your unit is a MUST
You only live once so definitely both. Obviously a cheap apartment for the wife and a luxury studio for your girlfriend.
Cheap apt for me and my boyfriend and a luxury studio for my side piece????
I’ve had a 1BR in a luxury high rise for the past two years and travel full time. Financially I’m OK with what I have but if I could, I would’ve downsized to a studio early on. Would still stick with luxury. NYC here.
Nice apartment is totally worth it to come home too on the weekend. Studio works and that’s what i have
If you’re traveling just live in wicker. Close to the blue line, cheap and easy Uber anywhere for you or your partner to get it in.
I downsized to save money; and then because life works like that, was lucky enough to score an 8month remote project. Let’s just say I deeply regretted downsizing
Yeah I was on a local for 4 months so I feel you
Ok studio in great location. I think that’s enough for weekends.
When I initially started out put all my stuff in storage and travelled out of the suitcase. After I paid off my student loans then signed a lease.
With my parents or use some of the 3 million and counting HIlton points
You should be able to find a apartment for a reasonable price considering you live in Chicago. Likely cheaper than a studio in SF or NYC
High rise, pretty cheap compared to NYC/SF (based in Virginia)
I look at it as:
I travel a lot for work, so when I’m home, I want to like everything about it, spending a few more dollars to make my time at home, easier, and nicer, is worth it.
4br, 3,000 SQ ft luxury townhome. Rent 2 rooms out.
Lived in a 6 floor walk up for cheap in a closet in NYC for a year while traveling every week. Was not very exciting to come home to every week....agree that housing in HCOL areas is expensive but a necessary evil to live in a place you can respect
