I’m looking into m&a but it seems like Deloitte advisory is more prevalent to that move than Deloitte consulting. What part of USDC is involved in the m&a process?

3 years ago was recruited away from D to a PE portfolio company to run M&A and other strategy work. Things have gone well and company is prepping for exit. Thinking about going back to consulting after exit: what options are out there? I left D as an M and would only consider returning as “senior” SM or higher. Who else is hiring at higher levels in M&A? What does starting comp look like for SM (or equivalent) role?

Took the GRE and ended up performing poorly relative to my practice tests (326-331 on practice compared to 323 on test day). Am pretty disappointed, but is it worth retaking the test if I’m aiming for T15 (generally)? Thanks!

Do you think it’s easier or hard to get into bschool than it is for undergrad?

As someone currently applying to business school and seeing others I know enter their first year at elite schools, I feel an intense, crippling toxicity towards them. Extreme jealousy and feeling like I’m not as good. I don’t know how to get over this.

Remember, no matter what HBS tells you in a couple of hours, it’s not a reflection of your self-worth. (Not that I’ll remember, but just putting it out there)

Aiming to do GRE / GMAT for round 2. Seems like a GRE of at least 324 for m7 looks about like the ‘minimum’ for a checked off box. So does a 720 for GMAT. Suggestions on which to take ? (Obviously a 330+ GRE or a 750+ GMAT would be stellar, but meeting the average / median seems like a good start.)
