Make a budget for food and see how much you will save meal prepping. You’ll also probably lose some weight as take out is high cal. Maybe delete the app for a few days and reward yourself if you make it 2 weeks without ordering.

I had the same issue, had to remove the app from my home screen and started meal prepping as well. And like P2 noted, saving more was an additional motivator to stop.

I do enjoy healthy food but I am totally addicted to the convenience of pressing a button and having whatever I want arrive. If anyone has broken this habit please share how you did it!

I started meal prepping haha. It was the only way

Remove it and also put a password that you will forget haha

Working long hours, limited time to cook and pressing a button was easy for me too. But I gained 30 lbs from ordering take out over a couple years. Now I’m on a high protein/low carb diet that’s working well...I made a list of options (salad with protein, sashimi or grilled meat). Def less exciting but it still gives me convenience if I’m busy. You can also buy frozen meals or veggies from Wholefoods and heat them up quick.

Remove the app and your credit cards and your address. These extra steps have helped me be too lazy to order 😅🤣

Hey all! I majored in journalism and spent a couple years as a reporter before pivoting into PR/comms. I’ve been in this career for almost 5 years now, but have been at smaller orgs with little grasp of comms/PR the whole time. I’ve had some successes, but no real mentoring. It’s mostly been me playing around with trial and error. Lately I’m feeling stagnant! I could use tips on getting noticed by more comms savvy companies where I could really learn the trade.

Switched to industry from audit about 2 months ago and it’s been worse than expected. Talked to one of my old recruiters and they said this job is already showing red flags this early and should consider getting out before I’m in too deep and can just leave this off my resume. Any experience/advice with this kind of situation?

I grabbed dinner with a friend during restaurant week (first time in ages!) and completely blacked out/fell on the floor waiting for dessert. Medics who arrived said my vitals were fine. The only thing I did differently was have a couple glasses of wine (first intake since NYE). Has this happened to you and do you know the cause? I’m getting a full physical with blood work. In retrospect, I’m glad I was out when this happened instead of alone at my place.

Hi Fishes,
I am really looking for some serious advice to cope up with a cracked tailbone. I broke mine during a horse riding incident.

Now, I am getting seriously overweight, in fact, on the verge of getting obese, and this injury right now is pretty much killing the 2022 dream.

I do walk right now, oddly at a slow pace, for about 3-4 km each day. If there any kind of strength training I can introduce in my regimen to err not feel all so depressed with the way I am in for.

Honest question: I’m training for my first marathon. Does it really matter where I get my calories from? I am burning between 1,000-2,000 calories a day training and my body seems to be hanging in there ok. Does it truly matter if I’m eating ribeye vs lean chicken? I feel like getting to 3,000-4,000 calories a day in a healthy fashion is really really hard. Just from a volume standpoint.

I started to dramatically reduce my calorie intake in hopes to lose weight. Like most, I gained almost 60 pounds during the pandemic. On top of that I hurt my back (herniated disc).

i’m at about 1500-1800 calories. I was usually around 3000 cal. I’m 6’4 and 275 pounds.

I have a fair amount of muscle under my fat. With reducing my calorie intake so much do I run a risk of losing my muscle before my fat?
