For the NYC rent relief program, you have to earn leas than $63k for a single person household? Anybody get by that detail as a freelancer who sometimes makes zero a month?

Context: First time home buyer, trying to decide whether to buy a house in NJ or NY. Budget ~500-600K

Background: 29years Male, hopefully getting married in 2021, and planning to have kids in the next 3-5years

Questions:
1. What would be a better state (NY or NJ) to buy a house, considering property tax, hoa, and cost of living?
2. What state has the better school districts and what are those?
3. How do I go about my research for narrowing down the neighborhood/county to search listings?

Planning to roll over the pension from my previous company to IRA. Do you recommend rolling it over to traditional or Roth IRA? If traditional IRA, will that make me unable to do backdoor Roth IRA in the future (haven’t done it so far as my income is still below the limit. Also, right now I only have Roth IRA). TIA!

What happens to your 401k when you leave without it being fully vested? I left my company without it being fully vested and looks the same to me. I didn't have it transfer over or anything. Just sitting in the original fidelity account. When does it get adjusted? Or did I luck out by keeping it in the original account?

Going through a closeout. 50-50 profit share allocation, but my business partner has been using the venture money at their personal piggy bank (hence the breakup). My accountants say because we agreed to 50-50 shares, the leftover money has to be divided equally.
