Any suggestions on securing an interview with Apple in Austin in a senior quality manager role? I interviewed with them late last year for a role but didn't make it to offer phase. I've been in quality for over 20 years spanning several industries. Just looking to cut thru the applicant pool if anyone can help. Apple

Can you pay for Invisalign with your HSA?
I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

I know this isn’t what you are asking, but when I’m reviewing candidates I do not read cover letters at all
I wouldn’t say that it hurts your chance more that including one helps.
I used to get a big pile of resumes and the odd one with a cover letter got a lot more attention. Bonus points if it’s customized to the job you are applying for and shows that you’ve done some basic research on the company
Depends. If your cover letter is crisp and recruiter can skip reviewing your resume, it is helpful. If they have to read yet another rambling page of how awesome you are, it hurts. If a software is scanning resumes, a strong cover letter will give your resume extra boost because you are hitting the keywords multiple times
Just include one if you care. If the employee doesn’t care they’ll skip it; if they do it’s a nice to have
When I reviewed resumes in Industry I put the cover letters in my pile of scratch sheet. It does not help when the required skills are specific and resumes are expected to be to the point. It could only help connect the dots if one has to do that for some reason.
As I often review hundreds of resumes at a time, I don’t read cover letters, but I wouldn’t think less of a candidate if they included one.
