For those EAs who are permanently remote, what company do you work for and overall are you okay with your job? Works hours, pay, benefits, PTO

I’m 100% remote at PwC and very happy with everything. Pay is competitive. My workload is balanced so no need to work overtime. Although the hours are supposed to be flexible for many of us there isn’t much flexibility when supporting partner in 2 or 3 time zones. Vacation is plenty, especially with the extra time off around holidays the firm gives us. The benefits are the best I’ve ever had anywhere.

In market EAs will need to be in the office from time to time. The former ASC will not be required as they don’t support people in market. If your Partner needs you in the office you are expected to be there. It won’t be everyday… for now…

I predict PwC will lay off most of their “Executive concierge” workforce in the near future. PwC has put a stop to recruiting and backfilling EC’s for the most part. PwC is pulling rights for nearly all of the critical engagement tasks for EC’s and forced us to outsource those tasks to acceleration centers in low cost of labor countries. Yep, we are currently remote, but mark my words, they’ll gladly “Reorganize” and pay someone in Bangladesh $3 a day in just a matter of years.

Heard that EY might do the same thing. Would not surprise me at all

SAP. I can WFH or the office - my choice, only need to go in if exec needs me for a major mtg, but she's in a different office in a different state. Support 1 senior exec. Good pay & benefits. I don't know that we're hiring, but I've been very happy.

PwC3 that makes sense. They were at the forefront of outsourcing internal firm services. Bought up shares of TATA, people had to train their replacements to get retirement packages. Really heartwarming. <sarcasm>

Now all PwC staff can continue to work remotely. I wonder how this will play out and what impact it will have on admins.

PwC brought some jobs/tasks back from overseas when initial attempts had hiccups, hence concierge/center of excellence. It’s all a long term vision. Whether or not you fall into the transitions at the beginning or end is a matter of chance. I’m curious what the pay range for concierge teams is compared to LA/Chicago/Boston/New York.

Adtech. 100% remote with the option of being hybrid. Salaries in the high 90s - 100s. Fully paid benefits. Flexible work hours, 20 days vacation. 15 days pto. +More.

Do they have any current openings?

I'm through to last round of an extremely cool job opp. Salary at best will be lateral but title bump and extremely cool set of responsibilities. However will only likely start in Jan due to needing to wait for bonus and security clearance check. Have baby coming end of may. Per my understanding this means I won't even get statutory pay? What should I do? Or should I just view this as missing 2 weeks of £150 (ie unpaid leave) and whatever paid paternity leave benefit org has (likely 2 weeks)

Need some vacation advice. I’m at an all-inclusive that was billed as “luxury”, but food and service are mediocre, the resort is run down, and we’ve had mult instances with other guests making drunken scenes. My wife and I have been doing the all-inclusive route for a while now and I think we’ve come to the conclusion that we need to just go to an expensive, pay as you go resort to get the food, service, and higher caliber of guests. Suggestions on such a place? Carribean preferred. Thanks.

Neither of my parents have a 401k, investments, or savings. They have nothing. I want to help them retire at 65 which would be about 15 years away. I’m looking to put about $15k/ year until then into an account for them. A couple questions i have though: 1. What type of investment account would be best to maximize? 2. Once gifted to them, will they be taxed if they receive a certain amount? I have little to no knowledge in investing so I’m open to any other ideas and/or advice.

How do you handle a manager and a senior manager deciding that just because you started a few months ago and you question things and ask why the team does things a certain way and provided feedback to do things more efficiently, they have decided that I don’t know what I’m doing because I’m new. I was told when I was hired that I could be up for promotion if I show myself. I think they told the partner that I’m not good at my job
