Best script I've seen all week.
Rarely. Maybe if we see it in the wild.
Do you hate that logo?
No.
Okay, I made it.
Oh, good.
I hate it.
If I'm super super excited about it or am proud of the work, maybe. Usually not unless it actively comes on or we see it, and even then usually only if I get asked about it. Occasionally when I think somethings terrible I'll share it with my wife because misery loves company.

I love bragging about the banner ads I make.
Can’t understand why no one else shares
in my excitement.
I do the same! LOL
Every time I finish a new ad I gather all of my friends in my living room for a special red carpet screening. Following that they are privileged to an two hour long Q&A session with me, the director. They are often star struck that their lowly humble buddy actually made a TV ad. But I assure them that I won’t let this fame and adoration get to my head and that even though I made something incredible that I’m just like them, but just much cooler and smarter. They love it, it’s the highlight of their month every time we do it and they are always so excited, just totally on the edge of their seats, when I show them a new ad I made.

Only if it's so laughably terrible that someone online has been so moved as to question my very existence on this planet just because I wrote it. I share those ones. With screenshots.
Nope. Sometimes I’ll point one out if it comes on while we’re hanging out. But really, they don’t care. And it doesn’t bother me that they don’t care. It’s just another ad.
I guess I’m the exception (judging by this thread), but yeah! My friends tell me about what their working on, across different industries. No reason not to tell them what I’ve been up to. I must have very boring loved ones because they think it’s cool.
Only when it’s good. But as it turns out, they like bad stuff better.

It’s like food. People love mediocre.
I forget to tell them, but my family likes to play the did your agency do this TV spot guessing game while we watch together with great accuracy. And my mom will text when she sees something and wants to know if it was us.
You get to work on spots? All I get are banners. Need to seriously reevaluate my life.

If it’s something good they usually see it in the press or on social. But I don’t feel the need to let them know personally.
Only if it’s a good spot. Not product ones.
No. But family gathering uncle Bernard still asks me how many commercials I’ll have on the SuperBowl this year, or asks me if I wrote (insert funny commercial he recently saw during the Cardinals game). Zero, uncle Bernard. Zero.
