Why is so difficult to understand? It’s not typical work from home. People are dying and there’s a worldwide crisis and we are mandated to stay at home while working.

It’s laughable how little my firm cares about this situation. They care in terms of the sales pipeline but in terms of how it impacts real people, they don’t give an eff. I have a family member who has it and I live in another state so I can’t be with them. I’m just supposed to act like it’s business as usual while someone I love may actually die from this. But I have to because I need this job and last thing I need is to be unemployed in an economy that’s imploding.

I need some help. I need to lose 40 lbs. 5’2, 170 lbs. i started working out more but then stopped because I was miserable doing it. Decided to focus on diet and I just end up binge eating. WFH also makes it harder to be active esp when working out (the cardio at least) makes me so miserable. I do walks sometimes but that obviously doesn’t burn enough to mean much. At this point idk what to do. Keto helped in the past but now I can’t even find the drive to do that! What do I do?

Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?

Feeling guilty for taking a 30/45 mins lunch break and finishing the day before 7pm. But I guess I finished my tasks for the day and I can just tackle the rest tomorrow. Is that acceptable. I feel like I lost track of when to stop since WFH

Seriously considering buying a used camper, doing a light renovation, and taking it out west and just working remote next summer. Put all of my belongings in storage, set my parents address as mailing address, and just be a nomad for at least next summer. I would get a Verizon router for WFH. Am I crazy to be seriously considering doing this? Single M 🐠, 26.

Does anyone know what recourse a NYC tenant has against a neighbor with a dog that barks incessantly. I like dogs- I get dogs bark. But I’m WFH and have zooms and this is becoming a nuisance. Has anyone dealt with this before/any advice? Should I try to talk to the neighbor or will that screw me over/risk retaliation if and when I have to write a formal complaint to the landlord office...

Would appreciate advice for next career steps. Currently in Risk&Reg advisory and looking to switch to Strategy consulting (at PwC/Big 4). From what I've read, the transition seems unlikely because of little work overlap and the preference for top MBAs. It seems like the most realistic ways forward are 1) Get MBA first then request to transfer groups, or 2) Leave the firm for Strategy experience elsewhere and get back into Big 4 eventually. Has anyone made a similar move into Strategy?
