Backstory: started with a company back in July. Negotiated a very competitive salary package, I was able to work out a guarantee to take a draw for the first 6 months until I get ramped. But I have yet to make any real impact for the company within the first 10 weeks. I feel terrible for taking “commissions that I didn’t earn or show any progress”. I am an associate at a small firm and was licensed last fall. I clerked at this firm through law school, so I knew most of the partners before starting as an attorney full time, except some of the new ones we have acquired since.
