Hey all! Need a couple book recs for an upcoming beach trip.
Looking for a great non-fiction, relating to travel or world history (not just one moment in time). Could also be about the marketing world or memoirs of a business leader kinda thing.
Fiction wise I also like fantasy, paranormal, and romance. Some fave book series are the Black Gryphon from Mercedes Lackey, Game of Thrones, and From Jamaica Lane series. Similar books?

I have had 2 in the past 6 months at completely different ends of the spectrum. Hired someone with minimal experience and the person is flourishing. She is eager to learn and integrates into the team perfectly.
The other person was someone who was out of the business a couple of years and has a wealth of knowledge. She is bringing alot to the table and the training has been smooth sailing because of the experience she has.
I go for the person and how they would fit with my team. If you show eagerness and potential we can handle the rest.
Recently hired a middle aged man who had gone back to school to break into finance. He's got some background in tech which has been an invaluable addition to the team. I honestly think he's going to propel us to the next level and it's very exciting.
The quietest of the bunch. She is very heads-down, which at first was concerning because I expected more questions, but she is just an awesome independent worker and gets things done with no fuss
I don't have time for a lot of hand-holding. I don't mind questions that are thoughtful. I appreciate independent workers who go out of their way to learn everything they can on their own and show genuine interest in succeeding, not just doing the bare minimum
