It's an obsolete term though. ERS is now called Advisory since the merger with FAS.

Thank you so much!

I want to brag on my kid, but I don’t want to embarrass him, so I’m doing it here. My college sophomore found out today that he ended up with a B in his accounting class - which is remarkable, given that he received a 50 on his first exam and a 70 on his second. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him work this hard - and I couldn’t be more proud. The grades that come easily don’t impress me nearly as much as the ones that are hard fought.

Hi! So yesterday I pitched that we take every article in our real estate magazine and basically copy and paste it into a blog section on our website. We’re interested in using a product name that is trademarked by another company. The company is still operating but this specific product (of many they have trademarked) doesn’t seem to be performing well or is not a significant part of their business. Has anyone ever approached and negotiated a situation like this? E.g., give equity , trademark assignment, perpetual license agreement, etc? Other than consult legal (we have a IP attorney), curious how other startups approached this.

If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??
