For those of you burned out on corp culture and "playing the game", how are you coping and managing your career? The only outcome I see as we progress in our field and our responsibilities grow is that this culture will become more central in life until we're expected to become the leader that reinforces and regurgitates the very stuff we're burned out on. It seems unreal that I'll need to keep this game up for 30+ more years.

What are the most fulfilling and challenging things about a career in communications?

What should I aim to become 4-5 years down the line ? Currently I m doing selenium automation testing with 8 yoe. Have experience in uft, api and desktop application automation and some of the devops application as well. And lots of other related knowledge and exposure. Should I aim to become Automation architect ? Solution architect is also for us ? What does solution architect do ?

What made you realize that science was the right path for you?

Case load= malpractice? Small plaintiff’s firm of 25 attorneys. I was a 2 year associate hired and given 50 active files in pre litigation status. 9 mos later a partner quit and I inherited 45 more. I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load. Is this what people consider negative work culture?

Put my two weeks and I’m really struggling with guilt. Was told by a partner that I was not thinking about my career or growth. I feel like I had a lot more to learn but I was really unhappy on the regular so it didn’t feel like the right place for me.
