Simply by asking in the application form, for GDPR we ask permission before doing and explain it’s for D&I

eSurveys and through questions formed in the application. But we make sure that we put the word "optional" so that they will know that such section needs a mandatory answer. We make sure that we follow all the rules and legalities just to make sure that no one will be prejudiced.

It's best to capture during the application process.

Not sure about gdpr regulations but most regulations would provide user acceptance of providing the required data and reason explained. For example in India I am sure you can capture it during the application process

Is recruitment team all in US or do you have some based in EU?

I am not a compliance expert, so double check the rules - but I belieeve if you are following the right policy to notify the candidate of GDPR you can keep that information in an ATS that meets security requirements. I think once the information is leaving the EU you can run into issues (ex. does the APAc team have same view permissions on this data as the EU team?)

Yeah some regions are allowed to collect different demographic information. Are you saying you send a separate survey requesting additional info?

Hey team! I've been thinking about what success would mean in terms of this platform and general inclusion in the team. These are some of my thoughts:

1. Frequency of positive engagements (positive in a productive, constructive sense)
2. Increasing numbers of people engaging in each topic as they get more comfortable using the tool and airing their opinions
3. Some measure outside the app of team engagement in day to day interactions (changes in psychological safety)

Have competing offers from EY and KPMG UK Economic advisory teams( Manager/Snr Exec level). KPMG's UK technical rep and comp offer is better, but the hours appear longer. EY UK Director has had several calls selling culture (diversity and work life balance). Is there actually a substantive emphasis on this by EY? Or are 50+ hour weeks quite common?

I suspect it's going to be quite team dependent/ project dependent, and therefore a gamble in any case.

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

I have received a written offer for a Bilingual Account Manager for a large pharma company in Toronto. 70k with 7% performance based bonus. During interviews I never set an expectation. I am meeting with HR to go over some minor details in the contract before i sign it. Would it be out of line to ask for 80k with the same bonus maximum? Conflict of interest.
Can a company find out if you start to work for another company? Also, is it really a conflict of interest if you work for both companies in the same position, but the companies are in a different field (e.g. pharmaceutical and social media)?

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it.
