Have a startup I’ve done all the prep for but finding it hard to take the leap to quit my job. I don’t see a path to go live without doing so. But also know it’s going to take forever to make similar comp. Any words of wisdom?
In early talks for a VP position on the media side. What is a good salary range for that role? The initial band the hr team quoted seemed low to me.
Whenever I see “TC “ in the posts, I think about Test Cases, not Total Compensation. Is it because my Total comp is a Test to check my tolerance? Is it normal??

What's the internal job transfer protocol for PwC? Do I really have to contact my RL first before applying anywhere? I'd like to stay in the same office and don't really care about getting a higher salary. Just want to stay at PwC in a tax related role (which is what I'm in now, just more niche).

Hi fishes, i joined USI 2 years back in EA ( global finance, data analytics) at 5.6 , got a 15% hike this year means i bearly beat the two year inflation and now take around 6.8 . At 4.5 years of experience i feel my ctc is quiet low and i do not have any hopes of corrections that are due in dec. What are my options guys, manager says my salary is already very high for an analyst.
Anyone with suggestions of how much further i can increase this offer. Facebook Data Scientist IC5 (London) Base -88k Pounds Bonus- 15% RSU: USD 60k over 4 years. Anyone have a great CFP that works with folks remotely (I.e., via Skype or FaceTime) or in Boston? Looking to learn about the unknown, e.g., tax loss harvesting, 529s and other similar vehicles, etc
Need to give notice to my firm tomorrow. Feeling overcome with emotion (guilt, nostalgia, excitement and trepidation). I don't think it will go well because it's a small firm, and I am very close to the partners, but need to move on to achieve career goals (and maintain sanity--I have a great relationship with my colleagues but there is a toxic culture). Truly think that my mentor will see this as a personal betrayal and blow up at me, and I'm sad to burn the bridge. Any words of encouragement?
I did not realize how underpaid I was at my current firm/ position until I started applying for my same position elsewhere and saw the base starting salary at some companies/ other firms is around 10,000 more than where I’m at salary wise in my current firm (62k, HCOL, Senior Associate 1)
So I’ll be receiving a ~120k USD lump sum next spring. If you were in my shoes, would you: A) Purchase a ~350K home (in Orlando) with 20% down. Remaining 50k in stock market B) Just DCA it all into market Further context: Will likely be at grad school for 1.5-2 years following that. Will have an income from scholarship stipend but it'll only cover expenses. Also unsure how that'd work with mortage application if I don't have an ability to provide proof of income.

I’m not the heaviest I’ve ever been - I’ve lost some weight due to stress - but I’m easily in the worst shape of my life. I go for walks but it’s just not enough to combat the sedentary wfh lifestyle. Any advice on how to make more of an effort to at least try to do better? I have no equipment other than a yoga mat and can’t afford a peloton or anything. But I went to the office to pick some stuff up and took the stairs 3 floors up, and felt like I was going to die 😭 any advice appreciated!

Hey everyone. Hope you are having a good day. I have a little question. I am the type of auditor that love fieldwork. I heard from someone that big 4 now tend to switch to work from home mote. Is that true? Do you think it's better to try to get into mid size CPA firms or big 4 small and medium client segment/ industry in order to have the greatest chance to be on audits that require fieldwork? Hope to hear your opinion and advices.
