To much partying

I plan to use my planning period for availability and 30mins - 1hour after school to accommodate any student that needs additional assistance. I will check emails to throughout the day, as I am able to assist in that way as well. After 18 years of teaching, I have finally understood the importance of self-care after school which is now 'my time' and I will pick up where I left off on a new tomorrow. Please don't take the classroom with you!!
Have your office hours set up on a zoom link for an hour a day. I have the link at the bottom of my emails and in my google classroom daily agenda notes.
Can you share instructions for how to set that up please?

I have office hours set up in Google classroom between 3-4pm, Monday-Thursday. I set up 15 minute appointments and students can book their own appt as needed.
Thank you!
No one was coming to my class. This was not too much of a suprise since I am the special education music teacher and parents don't ever appear in my room in parent teacher conferences. Anyway, I started holding "Office Hours" for the same hour every day, for different classes depending on the day of the week. This helped a little bit with attendance, but not much - I made sure to announce my teacher hours every day in the Google Classroom of the classes I was seeing that day. I was where I belong, and was ready. It is not my fault that students are not showing up to my class, especially after I have been doing the same routine every week for 2 months. When I a student and parent showed up for office hours, they were glad I was available to help them with the work.
I’m elementary not middle school and I make announcements in the Google classroom of the classes I would see that day in the morning.
I truly understand! We start on Monday with PD trainings! We are discussing our schedules as some schools started full day schedules and many parents are complaining! We just want the best for our students and safety for all! Praying for a happy medium!
Yes Virtual only last hour if the day.
I have office hours 4 days a week for 30 minutes. Mine are right after my live teaching at 4 - 4:30.
Our school has built in office hours during the ‘school day’. That is the only required time. However I know several co-workers who are adding 1 additional evening hours.
We have office hours 1-2 pm where the parents can come into Zoom or text via Remind for any questions. However my students parents think I’m a 24/7 teacher and text via Remind all sort of hours 🤷🏽♀️

I am required to have two one hour office hours a week. I'm not sure how I will set it up in the schedule, but I am going to have parents sign up so I don't have multiple people waiting on Zoom and I can keep confidentiality.

Students only come if they need help.
Check with your unions
We have free time before and after school.
Hi, I teach first grade and have allocated one hour for an office hour. I sent a Zoom link to all my parents and I just open a meeting and if anyone has questions they can just join in. If two people join at the same time with different questions I ask one to rejoin in 10 minutes. It has been working fine. I also set my Dojo for quiet hours at 4:30. This lets parents know I am not available but will get in touch with them the next work day.
We have the entire day on Thursday for office hours/planning day. In addition we have 40 minutes at the end of each day for any student to seek help.
For middle school we are required to have them and have them set into our daily schedule. I made a separate Google classroom and created the meet link. I then keep that link posted with their daily announcement. This works great.
I basically keep the Google meet open and then answer any questions as students pop in.
