when exactly is the ey split happening??
Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!
Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳

Yeah I have the vari desk but I think most standing desks will work. I take the approach of standing for 30 minutes at a time multiple times a day. Just make sure you’re not standing all day as well because that can be bad too. Ultimately it’s good to switch it up a bit.
KPMG 1, standing all day can cause inflammation issues along with knee and lower back issues as well. If I had to choose I’d definitely prefer to stand vs sitting all day but we aren’t supposed to do either to the extreme.
Facebook marketplace! People are selling all their work at home furniture they bought during Covid. I just got an $800 standing desk for $300 and I love it!
I have a Flexispot electric standing desk. They’re $250 on Amazon & they usually have sales around holidays. I think it’s worth it and use it often. Even if I stand just 15 minutes every hour, I feel better than sitting all day. I had a manual standing desk before that and those I don’t recommend. I ended up not using it often bc it’s a whole process to lift it up
Also…. When I bought mine… I had originally bought a Vari for like $550. Then I saw the Amazon one and was mad that I could have saved money lol. So I ordered the Amazon one, received both, and compared them. They’re basically the same & I returned the Vari. Only difference is Vari seemed heavier / more durable. But I’ve had the Amazon for over a year and no issues.
Herman miller standing desk and embody chair! I used to have back pain before and it’s worth the investment. I find myself standing some days until 2pm then finally sitting remainder of the day it’s a life changer
Pro
I got one during Covid but use it way less in the standing position than I thought I would. I don’t find it conducive when I really have to dig in and work. It’s fine for conference calls where I’m in listen mode but when I’m crunching or in heavy review mode of complicated workbooks, I need to sit. The biggest benefit that I got from my standing desk was the ability to adjust the height to where it was more comfortable/appropriate for my height. The typical desk height is either too high (in my case) or too low for most. Being able to lower the desk even an inch was a big deal on my neck and back.
I did a fair amount of research when I bought mine. I knew I didn’t want to spend a ton of money if I wasn’t going to use it. I was okay with buying one and then upgrading to a better one later if needed (or swapping out the top with a nicer piece of wood). I got this one from Amazon and it’s great. Solid, two presets for standing and sitting and fluid movement. I recommend it.

I have a fully and couldn’t work from home without it. I’m constantly changing from standing to sitting throughout the day.
I got one and I rarely use it, most people I know who have them are the same way… It is a nice option when my back is really hurting, but I thought I would use it way more than i do.
Definitely get it. I use it a lot. It’s a great way to get you up if you’re staring at a screen all day. I switch periodically throughout the day. I found one on Amazon that was cheap and pretty nice. So I recommend looking on there.

I bought an uplift. It’s nice and I use it but I probably don’t use it enough to justify $1G
