For those of you that left b4 and got a job in finance or fp&a, is the grass really greener or do you end up hating your job and go for an MBA to do something else?

Honest question and not trying to be a smartass: How would you define green grass in the first place? And is it possible that one could be on brown grass/dead grass/dormant grass in the current state (in this case as a B4 auditor) and he/she is really just looking for any shade of green grass, and not necessarily greener grass elsewhere?

And so given that auditing doesn't require you to think too much at work, but somehow doing it is essential to career success is baffling.

Following this too

Finance and FP&A are two very different worlds if you mean IB when you’re referencing finance

For anyone in FP&A / Business Partner roles- what keeps you motivated/ engaged in the role when you’re basically a support team and rarely get the final say in decisions or are plainly an input provider ? PLEASE HELP! I’m a first year commercial litigation associate at a boutique firm. I am deciding between two offers. One is to go in-house paying roughly the same as I make now. The second offer is from big law as a commercial real estate associate, paying double.

I would love to go in-house and never worry about billable hours again but the big law money is super tempting. Advice?? Is the money really worth it?

He is worried he will take a pay cut since his experience so far in his career is construction centric. Appreciate any feedback!

Would someone would be interested on giving guidance on a platform to users regarding IT field problems like how to deal with hectic hours, career growth, job switch, office politics etc.

The guide will be added in the platform and will give time slots after the job when the guide is available and only for that time slot everyday appointments will come for guiding sessions.

A session would last 40 mins and the guide will be given 250Rs. Per video call session and 150Rs per chat session

Breaking into product management at a major tech company seems infeasible. Which more accessible roles would you recommend instead? I'm leaning toward product marketing management or product strategy, which seem closer to product than program management, product operations, business operations or strategy and operations. What other roles should I investigate? (About me: 10 yoe, MBA, now in strategy consulting, with tech client/project exposure)

So I just started at a new company about 5 months ago. I’m already looking to leave. My boss should not be in the director of HR role she in, she does not have the experience for it. She was put into that role because the prior director left and she was the senior most person on the team. I’m also not connecting with anyone on my team. I don’t feel fulfilled or happy here. Should I be leaving so soon? I assume if I do apply to other places, my short tenure here will be a red flag. Thoughts?

Is a 15k paycut worth it?

Just got promoted unexpectedly, big jump in salary.

I was interviewing with a new position when the promo came.

Have one last interview but I'm likely to get the job.

New position is 10k more than old salary but 15k less than new one.

Gets me out of public accounting (better WLB) and into a space I'm interested in.

Also gets me out of tax (major goal) into a more general finance role.

I'm thinking try it for a year or two, see how it goes, and jump if needed.
