For those of you that transitioned to industry /PE ops (as in my case), do you still see the same level of outreach from recruiters? I’ve seen a big drop in recruiter calls in the last 4 months or so.

Hi friends. Current BDR looking for new opportunities. I was contacted directly by AMEX in regards to a Business development manager position and now have an interview scheduled for next week. No clue how as I only have almost a year of BDR experience but I’m running with it and willing to shoot the shot. My interview track record is solid but have never interviewed for a BDM role. Has anyone had good matches/success when using a Recruiting Agency? I’m debating if I should use one on my current job hunt got myself.

In the past, when I was used a couple of a agencies for our hiring, it was a pretty rough experience. Mostly there was a big disconnect between what we told the recruiters we were looking for (in writing, in person & over the phone) & what the job was, and what the recruiters told the candidates. It was really frustrating on both ends.
