Honestly, the people are wayyyyyy better here than at my last big agency. And everyone actually likes each other
Where were you before? ATX?
Literally Best Life.
Here’s the key - a firm smaller than 50 people is good, 8-12 is ideal. Here’s why:
*Personal attention on accounts and from superiors.
*Real impact.
*Real input.
*More fun!
*Better relationships within the firm.
*Better relationships outside the firm as you’re more hands on w clients and they know/trust you more.
*More understanding from superiors when sh*t comes up eg dentist appointment, kid sick at school, parking ticket.
*WAY better lifestyle.
*My favorite - HONESTY from superiors re: numbers, accounts, personal performance.
I can go on. Best move I ever made.
Leaving work at 5pm every night.
Same!
Actually having relationships with people on all teams and levels.
Less layers of middle management.

Everyone does the work. No hiding behind someone else
Fully remote so nothing besides that and spending all day with my cat
16 weeks parental leave (for both moms and dads), flex work schedule, and leaving at 5 every day.

A living wage
The CEO knowing everyone’s names and having a work/life balance.
Oh, you know, the low pay, the unhealthy snacks, the two drink happy hour tickets. The usual.
Flexible come late / leave early / WFH when needed. Flip side is 830-6pm hours and often take work home 😔
Xanax in the water cooler
Not owned by a holding company that makes millions of dollars but still that isn’t enough.
Direct access to leadership
True family and not people saying oh that’s not my responsibility
every second Friday off
Leaving work before 6 and rarely having to work over time. Mentorship opportunities. Colleagues I love who will stick around for a while. SLT that have families and get that there’s more to life than advertising.
craft beer on tap and 2 raises in a year. lol definitely never left at 5 though. The company was too cheap to hire juniors and people would just get burned out and would leave instead.
