For those of you who are early risers, what are some of your tricks for getting out of bed early? I hate feeling rushed in the morning because I feel like it transfers over to my classroom.

I am NOT an early riser. To adjust, I do as much as I can the night before, lunch made, think about breakfast, lay out clothes, get my bag ready. I try to take the thinking and effort out of the morning.

When my alarm goes off, I get up immediately because it works for me (as long as my legs touch the floor, I’m up!). I go to bed between 10:00-11:30. I get up at 5:00 to workout until 6:20, shower, get ready, leave for school about 7:00 (that allows me 30 minutes in my classroom before school starts). My lunch is packed and clothes set out the night before. It works for me, otherwise I’d have to do something else. 😊

Smart bulbs! I have them go off with my alarm and they’re so bright I immediately get up 😂 but I also second having everything ready the night before!!!

What time do you get up?

I get my food and clothes ready the night before. I get up at shower, dress, grab my stuff and gone. Eat breakfast on my 45 minute coomute.

I set my alarm at 4:50 and try to get up at 5. My lunch is already packed and it helps me to save time at my breakfast. What helps me too is the mi Band 4 that vibrates very slowly until 5 a.m .

I go to bed between 8:30-9:00. I set my alarm for 4:50...snooze 2x...shower, stretch, have coffee, pack up my prepared lunch, load the car, walk the dogs and leave by 7:30 to be at work by 8:15. I like having time to move at my own pace. Not a get up and out person. 😊

I iron too 👍👍👍

I have been an early riser all of my life, so for me it’s genetic. I have co workers that are not. They talk more about how they have everything prepared and laid out the night before so they can spend every possible moment in bed.

Earlier than most.

several alarms set across the room so i have to get up. i get up at 5am

Me too. Five sucks.

I generally get to bed by 9-9:30 so I can get up by 4-5.

4am -set two alarms and get to bed by 9pm.

Sleep between 11:30 pm - 12. Get up at 5:30 am. Two alarms located different locations. Immediately drink 8oz of water Drench faces with cold water Stretch. Drink coffee. Pre-made with coffee pot with timed auto brew.

Dang. All these comments! I sleep from 2-6 am like clockwork. But grad school is really the culprit here. Good ideas!

I workout every morning, everything is ready the night before.

My tingling bells ring at 4am to wake me up. I use the remote and while listening to the news I make up my bed and turn on the water for a a lmk shower. Once I hear the craziness over night in Vegas I'm up. Clothes already chosen from night before. The news shows me the weather. I put my clothes on my bed to be ironed after I come out of the shower before makeup. I'm out at 5am.

WTH, you IRON?! I don’t even consider clothing that needs ironing.
