For those of you who did onsites with FAANG (esp Google), how hard was it really? Interviewing for PgM and I thought I was ready until I did a mock interview and blanked on my “tell me about yourself part” and now I’m freaking out about the entire thing 😔

Had an hm call about 2 weeks ago for a non tech role. Felt like the convo went well and was told I’d be progressing to on site stage. Radio silence from recruiter since then. Is this normal or can I assume the role has been filled?

Appeared for KPMG interview 45 days back. HR is intentionally delaying offer release. Done with 2nd round of interview in last week of July. My Lwd is in oct first week. She took documents on 23rd Aug and did salary discussion a week later. And giving shitty excuses like waiting for approval. Approver is on leave bla bla. Has anyone faced such issue with this company? I never expected such a shitty and worst recruitment process from a BIG4

As an indigenous LatinX I worry that if I put indigenous it won’t tick the “diversity” box for the algorithm or recruiters. I work with (not in) the I&D dept at my company and our target recruiting groups don’t include or mention indigenous. Any recruiters here that have insight?

I'm considering pivoting to copywriting because that's the part of my role I'm best at -- a lot of the account management stuff is draining, but I can whip out social and marketing copy quickly & I enjoy it. I’ve been on the job hunt for 8 months. Over 200 applications and less than 10 interviews. I’m trying to find a role in media/entertainment. I have VFX PA experience on a Sony Pictures Film. I also am a videographer and content creator. But there’s times where I feel like throwing in the towel. Idk what else to do at this point? I’ve been networking, but a lot of my network is unfortunately in the same situation.

How to find a job on H1b? I’ve tried applying and they all either ignore or respond and after me asking about h1b transfers they refuse to continue. Any tips would be highly appreciated.

I'm a Cloud Engineer w/ 8 YoE on a company sponsored visa in UK. Trying to switch jobs and so far after 125 applications for the last 3 months - only 3 interview calls which I didn't get. 46 not considered, 49 haven't replied or job listing expired. Awaiting response from 24 and 3 interviews scheduled.

Is this a bad time to switch or is it my profile or skillset? I updated my CV, did all I could to get shortlisted but isn't helping much.

Just had a series of interviews started in September and finally ended in November last week only to be told that suddenly I'm not a great fit for the job. Recruiter had called sometime in October and told me that I was a top candidate for the job and though they couldn't tell me to stop considering taking interviews with other companies they felt I was an almost lock for the job. Lesson learnt stay Strictly transactional until you sign the final contract👌

Videos longer than 15 min get automatically shortened to 15 min on IG Reels! Help!

So, I usually host an IG live session. Typically, it last 45 min.

If I upload directly after recording the live, then the full 45 min is uploaded in 1080 x 1920 format. Besides missing a cover image, it’s fine. But, in most cases, I need to re-upload the 45 min video once I edit it (remove slurs, etc.)

However, when I upload my edited 45 video, it automatically gets cut to 15 min.

I found little workaround…
