McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).

It's not hard just prepare, prepare, prepare...Our pgm interviews require you to provide detail and explain why you made any sort of strategic decisions, provide supporting data and logic for why you took a particular approach vs any alternatives. Structure is also important for how you organize, prioritize, and make sense of ambiguity. Have more stories than you need and for hypothetical questions take a second and answer with structure, with the pgm principles in mind...good luck ✊🏿

Don't freak out, just practice and prepare. Take notes when your recruiter takes you through prep. Write out scenarios from your experience that match the major points they call out. You can even record yourself answering common interview questions.
You got this!!! I finished my final round with Google a couple weeks ago and I'm still waiting to hear back 🙏🏿
Lol omg yesssss! I'm an SC too btw. Good luck with your interviews!
Just pretend they're not FAANG. It sounds like the only thing getting in your way is anxiety.
Wish I had some advice but I’m trying to get into FAANG myself. How did you find a recruiter to help get an interview? I do however wish you all the best with the on-site. You got this 💪🏽
😂not hyperventilating! I’m sure you got this! Just practice practice practice in front of the mirror, and family or friends (if you have any close by)
How do you normally perform during interviews? They;'re honestly not that different from many other tech interviews nowadays since everyone is copying from FAANG
Really well! I freaked out over the first peer phone interview and once they got on the phone I was like oh yeah this is a human and it went fine.
My worst interview was my case for my firm bc the person was really awkward on the video chat and once I start reading a negative-ish facial response I freak out. Still got the job tho but yeah lol.
You’ve this OP. Just finished onsite with Amazon (PgM) and Microsoft (PM). I would say create a spreadsheet on google doc, write out a list of possible questions, then your answers and practice them to a mirror/recorded as much as possible till you don’t sound rehearsed when answering them.
Yesss! I hope you get both!! I’m definitely going to practice in the mirror like you said. I’ve been practicing with my spreadsheet but I gotta take the training wheels off 😂
