For those of you who lateraled as a mid-level or senior: what led you to make the switch?

So I have a huge crush on my co worker, we’re on the same project and same job position but this is the first time I’ve had an office crush. We’re very friendly and chat almost through out the day. I also know that there’s a possibility of me shifting companies as soon as this project is over (Feb ‘23). What should I do?
A. Should I remain professional and not say a word? Wait till I’m out to make a move?
B. Casually ask him out?
C. Ask myself to get over it?

Should you always negotiate? I never gave a range during the interview process, I had a TC # in my mind. Got an offer and TC was exactly what I would've asked for. I will take the job.

My laptop died. IT needs to check it physically. I’m 300 miles away from the nearest office and 1000 miles away from my office. I’ll be driving there first thing tomorrow - if you were a partner, would you be pissed that I’ll probably have to take a day off even if I’m at an office? Is it my fault that I’m out of town?

I’m a new attorney and really struggling with billable hour requirements. It’s even harder when I’m typically in meetings/trial with more senior attorneys and not being able to bill for that time. Any suggestions?

I’m interested in taking on a Pro Bono case through a nonprofit org, so should I disclose that I’m taking the case to my current employer (in house)? The case has no overlap with the field my company is in and I’ll be doing the work off the clock.
