Leadership advice for young associates?
Hi need referral for few job postings at MS.
Larsen & Toubro Guys , Please advice me on below scenario. Suppose we have offer of Company A of 10 LPA ,later we receive call from Company B then they will ask Do you have Offer in-hand? Now my question is , do we need to tell them that I have offer OR let all the round get complete ?
Thought behind asking this question is, in first call if we tell them that I have offer then they might not go with next rounds.

I lost 40lbs in 5-6 months. Using a slow and steady eat less, move more theory. No tricks, just real food, measuring and tracking calories and macros.
Healthier eating, walking every day. Over time adding weight lifting.
This was 3 years ago and have sustained the weight loss as well as the weight lifting habit.
I lost 41lbs in four months with the help of an online trainer but while the results were great, and they stuck, they also required a lot of external help and accountability, and it was a tough ride down. It was also tough to maintain once I was flying solo. I would recommend this slightly slower path. Still worth getting an online trainer though.
I lost about 30 in COVID19 lockdown. Started by creating a calorie deficit by portion control and light exercise (5-6 mile brisk walks)in the beginning. Then ramped up the exercise (20 mile bike rides, 4 days a week) and kept up the healthy diet. Now I’m doing 30 mins of HIIT 4-5 days a week and the same light diet.
Lost 60 pounds in 12 months following my nutritionist's advice. Lose 10% body weight, 3-6 months maintenance then diet again.
Calorie counting based on a 2lb per week loss.
Work out 3-4 times a week for 45min (intense). Incorporate weight lifting or strength training.
Things that naturally helped me:
- I hate breakfast so I started doing intermittent fasting naturally. Lunch + dinner + snack on workout days if I'm hungry
- Ramped up veg consumption and liquid consumption (water, soups, stews) massively. I like to be full after I eat and eating more veg based and high water content food helped me massively
- 80%+ dark chocolate to stop any cravings. Sometimes I get cravings at 10pm or so - I have a piece of dark chocolate and let it melt in my mouth. It works wonders (at least for me)
- I don't have a sweet tooth (no deserts, black coffee, no sodas) - only sweet thing I eat regularly is fruit
- I don't really drink alcohol
- Only eat out once a week during dieting Can eat out more during maintenance
Thanks all for sharing your timeline and weight loss tips. I was already 20 pounds overweight at the start of the pandemic and packed on another 25 pounds in the last year!! 😖
I REFUSE to gain one more ounce and will start working with a trainer soon. Wish me luck! Hope to report back here in six months with similar success stories!!!
For me, it’s the unnecessary, mindless snacking. Thankfully I have the drinking under control. Yes, I got this!! 💪🏽
And KUDOS for all your hard work and inspiration!!! I need to do the same and that’s why I’m hiring a trainer/nutritionist to kick my @$$ lol
Honestly it took a few years. I was able to lose the weight within about 6 months, but my weight kept bouncing around for a few years. IMO maintenance is the hardest part. I’ve finally hit a place where my weight has been stable for two years, but it took a lot of patience and learning how to respect my hunger cues.
I have never actually needed to lose 50 lbs but 12lbs in 1.5 months is what I did. Slow and steady which makes it sustainable. Just focus on two meals a day largely high carbs and I walked about 2-3 miles at night but totalling around 13-15000 steps
Did you do any form of workout as well?
First 60-70 pounds or so took about 1.5-2 years I’d say, still trying 2-3 years later to lose the last 30 pounds to get to where I want to be hahaa
I’ll add the slowest timeline here. It has been a year of meticulously weighing my food, guided by a nutritionist, and working out consistently and I’ve only lost 23lbs. I still have 50-70 to go. It will end up taking me 2 years to get it off at the rate I’m going, but my body fights it and my nutritionist refuses to drop my macros/ calories any lower. It’s a war of attrition - and I’m not going to give up.
I use working against gravity - which you can sign up for online. I originally found them through my gym.

Took me a year, but I also wanted to maintain as much muscle mass as possible. Usually it’s more about body composition than sheer body weight. I’d rather take longer and maintain desirable muscle mass than slash calories and look super skinny later.
It also depends on your starting: going from obese to overweight takes much less than going from overweight to slim, and even longer from slim to shredded. Give it time
On the way! 30 in 4 months with minimal exercise, all diet
Mostly whole foods, complex carbs and lots of protein. Try to eat minimal fat and sugars
I lost 100 in a year so yeah 6 months is realistic but you shouldn’t be hard on yourself if that doesn’t happen. It totally depends on your calorie deficit and exercise.
You want to be cautious and aware of the amount of time you lose weight — don’t try to speed through this.
Your organ systems also have to probably adapt as you lose weight. I have seen people that have pushed losing weight super fast and then they struggled with a condition because other parts of their body could not keep up (I.e. gall bladder issues or pancreatitis)
Close to 6 months
Sunday’s I don’t workout. But yes.
I have trouble losing 5lbs. Haha. I do OTF everyday, sometimes twice a day. I’m eating low carb and definite calorie deficit. My body shape is changing and I’m probably losing fat, gaining muscle but the weight isn’t coming off. I’m considered overweight now and need to lose 30lbs to get to a “normal” weight. Please help.

You'll get there. It is a combination of eating properly and doing the right mix of cardio and weights or body weight exercise. When I was in shape I was doing kickboxing. It was awesome. Kept my heart rate high and was fun. Can't do anymore due to other injuries but it was a total blast.
I can't even lose 5lbs 🤣
