For those of you who were recently rejected by McKinsey how did you find out (phone call or email) and how long did it take after the final round?

Recently got a contract job at Facebook NY. I’ve mostly only been a FTE for the entirety of my career, so a bit nervous as I want to eventually be offered FT but feeling a lot of pressure to perform for the next 5 months to prove my worth. At some point it will surely get exhausting. Any tips for how to deal with this? Also curious to know what a mid-level PM normally gets paid as a freelancer?

Crazy how I’m not even close to six figures with 5 years of experience, a Masters degree and a CPA. And my cousin who is in Tech Sales just hit $140k total comp with just 3 years of experience and a bachelors. 😔

Current and former in house M&A folks, what do your hours look like? Is the WLB meaningfully better than Big Law such that it would justify a significant pay cut?

What are the arguments by anti choice people of repercussions and impact on child post birth.1. A fetus with generic other abnormalities who will live a miserable life and will make the family miserable too 2. An unwanted child who either ends up in foster care or not being provided/care for. The latter would end up having mental health issues/ be unproductive. The country needs to provide for them and they might even resort to gun violence or what not contd.

What’s your biggest achievement this year?

I moved from Europe to the US. I was always really anxious about making that move. There’s a lot of administration involved. I’m really proud I faced that fear and managed to get here, get a visa, find an apartment and get this whole thing organized.

I’m also happy I didn’t choose a big name company that didn’t feel right but would feed my ego, but I managed to choose the company that felt right.
