For those of you with unlimited PTO, how many weeks out of the year would you say you’re on PTO?

Any good vacation ideas out there? Cigars, golf and beer are always a plus.

Thoughts? Going to megafund PE. Decision: Quit in March next year and take three months vacation but receive no bonus, or wait until June, take less than a month vacation and get the bonus...

Project ran into unexpected delays due to client's inability to make key decisions. Not a whole lot more my team can do to stay busy for the next 2 weeks. Planning to "work" remote. Billable or PTO?

Is it realistic in big law to take 20 days of mostly uninterrupted vacation time a year? My firm has unlimited and my group doesn’t take more than a couple days off a year. I like the work and people but there’s no way I can or will stay long term without being able to take 20 days of real vacation a year for my health and to live my life. Firm policy says while vacation is unlimited they encourage 20 days. What’s the temperature in the room on this ?

Advice needed. Got a job offer from my dream company, 15k bump in salary, stock options, large jump in PTO, 40 hour work week and way better healthcare. So all in all a better opportunity. I feel guilty leaving my Big 4 job during this time. New company said I can take a month to wrap up some work at my current job if needed. Leaving now would leave my team drastically short staffed for the fall. New hires pushed till 1/1/21. Should I feel guilty? How do I tell them and not burn bridges?

Good afternoon everyone! I currently work for select quote selling Medicare insurance. Which I enjoy for the most part, but I’m on a very tight schedule and barely have any time off and it’s making me unhappy to not get to spend time with family and friends.
