Deloitte H1B folks: What did the firm do when/if you got a 221(g) during H1B stamping since it can take months to get resolved and you can’t work in the interim?
While switching companies, can we get the H1B visa transfer approved and still work for the old company for 2 months?
Asking for a friend - are any firms open to sponsoring H1B for foreign lawyers looking to move into legal services/management consulting on the state-side?
Fellow fishes, has anyone recently gone to India for H1B stamping and used Dropbox service. If you could please shed some light on the processing times and overall process that would be very helpful!
Question - Can we work as a case prep coach and get paid in India? I am on an H1B and understand you can’t have another job in US. I am no longer working with BCG and this is acceptable under moonlighting policy of my employer. If anyone has any experience, will be great! Thank you!
There’s a company that I really want to work for in the future, is it possible to convince them I apply for my green card now and then join them once the EAD card comes in post-GC approval?
What happens now if anyone gets laid off? Trump.will.ptobably assess h1b shortly . Go back to our country am guessing?
Planning to travel international for Christmas. However, initiated H1B transfer process with Deloitte. Can I travel internationally during the transfer process? I have a valid visa stamp till 2021.
Hi folks, I was on H1B visa and moved out of US 2 years back. I should have 3 years left on my H1B visa. I am planning to go back to the US now. Do I need to apply for H1B lottery? Or can I reuse my previous H1B. FYI - I work for a different employer now.

Being asked to do a ‘little favor’ by manager. But it has been two months on this meaningless task. How can I say stop? Want to resign the next second if I can...but still on H1B pending status.
For those in Non Resident work visa, is it worth waiting for almost 7 yrs to get your GC in the US or apply PR to Canada and take a cut on your paycheck for a more secure residency? Thoughts and ideas
Just curious, for those that have 1 yr OPT and at EY, PwC and KPMG, what do you do if you dont get selected in the h1b? I heard they dont allow day 1 cpt?
How flexible is Deloitte with the start date because of H1b processing time? I signed the offer mid-may for July 12 because it seemed realistic enough for premium H1b transfer. But the lawyers seem slower than what I was used to and July 12 does not seem likely. Is this going to be a problem?
Genuine question (no offense meant if something like that comes across): What are the criteria for desi women to date a fellow desi guy? Isn’t a humble & kind personality, good job, good self net worth (not including parents money/assets) enough? Why is Green Card/Citizenship so important when (most cases) the girl herself is on student/work visa? Not asking this due to disappointing dates, but also because I see that as a filter on a lot of matrimony profiles.
Hello fellow 🐠 living in high real estate prices area like Greater Boston Area. A decent single family home close to the city seems to cost at least $1.2-1.6 M! How much household income would you recommend that one has before investing in such houses? Also, does the uncertainty of being on your H1B stop you from going ahead with such investments? Appreciate your insights.
I have my H1b stamping in a few days. I suffer from anxiety and this interview is giving me so much anxiety and fear of being rejected or being stuck in a long processing. Contd...
Want to leave the Big 4 because I am not particularly enjoying the service line I am in. Have been offered another role at a smaller global consultancy, but less prestige than the B4. Seems like I will get varied experience there but scared to leave the security and comfort the B4 offer. Any advice fish?!

Interviewing for a Deloitte risk advisory (IA) position and I’m really anxious. I have about 2.5 YOE at EY but I’m still nervous about answering questions incorrectly. What’s the best way to prep for interviews and what kind of questions can I expect them to ask me? I guess I’m not 100% confident since I still feel like I have a lot to learn about IA and internal control testing.
Interviewed for a job and the interview, while grueling, went well. There was a panel and an exercise. I have decided it’s not the right fit for me. What is the best way to decline? I feel bad for the

Raise your hands if you value sleep over spending an extra +/- 30 minutes to get ready in the AM. Rock the natural look ladies (and gentlemen)!
I interviewed for an L6 Sr program manager role and was offered an L5 program manager position at amazon. I have 5 YEO and a masters. I saw the L5 role only asks for 2 YEO. TC for the L5 is slightly more than I make now. Would accepting this be a good long term move? Would I be taking a step backwards?
We are getting ready to implement a office wide base salary, 68k. Receptionist? 68k. Why? Because we can. We've never taken outside funding, and taking a page out of Dan Prices playbook. Anyone else?
I'm a first year atty. I make $45K at a small firm of 5. In the last three weeks, my assistant has been fired (caught with pot on break), another paralegal quit, and now another assistant has resigned. I have a caseload of 80, with no help. Boss says they are looking, they made an offer, but if that person accepts, it will be weeks before they are ready. I'm falling apart and crying at my desk and can't sleep. Told owner. "Hang in there." Do I walk now? Or hang in there?
