No because I feel like it would make me look weak and “unproductive”

Same. Don’t want to be 1st to be let go

No. And I’m ordinarily pretty open about workplace stress and mental health but we are allllllll in it now. I think most people understand.

No. I’m afraid I’ll look like a weak link as layoffs begin to roll around.

No

Yeah, but my team already knows about several previous issues I’ve had at work relating to these issues. A Coworker has seen me have an anxiety attack maybe 4 times the past 3 years working together.

Yes. I’m open about it. It’s normal to go through a grieving cycle during change. Being open about it helps other people open up as well. I think it’s safe to label your emotions, but don’t dwell on them. It helps people know they’re not alone or think they are weak for wondering if they’re the only one who feels this way.

Yes, I’m open about it and I feel it gives the rest of my team the ability to be open about it too

Just read the sad news of the death of 1st AD John Nolan. (See wheresspot for thread) While I hope be didn't contract Covid on either of the 2 sets mentioned prior to his illness and death, if it comes back that he did, we need to have a long hard chat about what went wrong. Condolences to his family. Truly horrible news.

It seems like each county/school district is responding to covid differently and the amount of pressure to return to normal varies. What's going on in your county?

Is anyone going else confused and upset agencies are making people go back into the office? Commuting is horrific and wastes time, and honestly I work more efficiently from home without distractions. All for the option to go in, I just think it’s super tone deaf to make people go in again. The world’s changed. Don’t move backwards.

I’m having some issues w/ my director. My organization has given us 10 ETO days to use for Covid related issues. We’ve been going back&forth on this, the language is ambiguous&he thinks I’m asking to use this inappropriately. We had a meeting yesterday to discuss this because he brought this up to legal&recorded it without my prior approval - I showed up to the webex&it announced the meeting was being recorded). I’ve asked for the recording and still haven’t received it- what would you do next?

Does anyone has the newest insight of how long the virus can last on different surfaces? I used this which is one of the only few that tells you about different surfaces. But this implies that for example your grocery bags and food packaging is not “100% safe or coronavirus free until after 3 days, and touching those surfaces could cross contaminate other things in your house, ultimately making people more likely to get the virus into their bodies. What’s your take on this?

This case is like an ultra-slow motion video of already-dried paint. It’s a sensory deprivation tank doled out one record-cite at a time. Working this case feels like a never-ending layover. It is unflavored gruel. It is a beige cubicle. It is my life slowly seeping away. And I hate it. I hate it so much.
