Feeling so down right now…I spent months trying to get into a tech company. And when I finally got in, I was then laid off two months into the job. This past month, I applied to 300+ jobs and had 30+ interviews. None of them led to offers due to hiring freezes or internal hires. I just went through 10 interviews with a non-tech company and I don’t know if I will get an offer. I am just so tired of everything. Has anyone paid for premium processing for their I-140 out of pocket? EY filed my I-140 in June 2021 and is working on my I-485 now. I asked if I can pay for premium processing since the Texas processing center takes 11-13.5 months but I am not sure it will be worth it if the I-485 takes a long time. Thanks!

I ordered a Tesla model 3 SR in April and I am able to take delivery this weekend, however I’m now unsure of whether it’s the right move financially. I have a lease on a 2020 BMW X3 that will end next month and was wondering if I should just buy that out and drive it for a few years. If it makes a difference I’m in SoCal so gas is $$$, but no EV charging in my apartment.

Tesla: $830/month + charging and insurance
BMW: $600/m + $150 gas + maint/insurance

Any thoughts? Is the Tesla worth it?
