$10k left out of $80k after 10 months of working. Graduated from a Top 10 school with okay scholarship.

Graduating from MBA I had $80k in debt (some of that was from undergrad). I buckled down and paid $2200 a month for a while right away. I bought a house so I consolidated to lower my interest rates, I’m 5 years out and I’ve got $23,497 now on a 7 year term and I pay $376 a month.

150k totally worth it; would do it again

Left at $100k (that’s after scholarships) and so far it has been worth every penny.

Had 100k in debt upon graduation (after scholarships), paid off in full after 2.5 years. Signing bonus and annual bonuses helped.

Started with $65k (~$10k from undergrad) and paid off in 3 years

If I've maxed out my TFSA, should I continue investing through an RRSP or a personal investment account?

For context, I also have a good pension. My main concern is that while the RRSP will be nice to lower my taxable income now, I'm worried when I retire I'll have to withdraw too much from both the RRSP and pension. Thoughts?

Is there a general expectation that a Partner has an MBA?

I doubt it's required at most firms but I'm a pretty senior staff and when I speak with Partners, they seem to speak with an MBA level of business knowledge which extends past their technical skillset.

I realize that's what makes them good Partners but it makes me wonder if I realistically need to get an MBA to keep growing and hit Partner.

Hey! I've always wanted to get into IB (prestige, money, you name it), however now that I'm in a more laid back environment (better WLB, "easier work") it doesn't seem as attractive as before and the pay is quite good for an analyst level (I think the pay is competitive even comparing with IB's pay in my country) . I wanted to know if anyone had the same experience and what were your thoughts (pursue an MBA and leave your comfort zone and "good pay" or just stick with it). TIA!

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?
