Salary question: Starting to think I’m getting underpaid as I am seeing some high salaries out there and curious to know what others in recruitment are making. Currently, recruiting manager (team of 5) 100% remote for a RPO, 8+ years experience in staffing in multiple areas (MSP, HRG, Branch Manager - agency) with international experience. Education: BA & CIPD HR Management Diploma (SHRM equivalent in the UK). Living in Chicago. Salary $70k 10% bonus, been told being bumped to $80k 12% bonus.

Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.

I’m almost thirty and work in-house. Husband is a VC. We decided that kids are just not for us. I love kids and have nothing against them and often baby sit for others as well, but it’s just not something we want as a couple and we’re very happy with our decision right now. My MIL keeps telling me that we should have children or we will be discarded from the society and our social circles because we don’t have children. I am unsure if my resume is wrong in terms of not tailoring my resume or working for multiple law firms for a few months due to being hired through a recruiting agency.

While I'm a strong HRBP, I've yet to manage a team. And while I train managers on people leadership skills, I myself, haven't had a chance to flex those muscles. how are you all feeling about an org that is saying absolutely nothing about everything going on in the world. nothing about mental health awareness month, nothing about rowe v wade, nothing about inflation, etc but we are in the HR/Recruiting consulting realm and our clients are even asking us for guidance on these conversations . (yes, myself and others have also asked) I have been looking and interviewing elsewhere but looking on how you are all navigating having healthy conversations!
