Imagine getting to the point your assistant is recording you and telling you that it’s fine to break policy

Sounds like he was fairly fired. But the assistant was a snake, she told him that he could use the card, and then reported him on that. Wow.

Point is amazon is awful with their travel policy. I got an offer for a global Sr TPM role and I asked them about international travel and their response was economy all the way😭

like

I bet Jeff Bezos doesn’t fly coach to Asia or Europe. Even frugal companies usually have a policy of business class for flights > 7 hours. Can’t believe Amazon doesn’t have that.

like

The travel was the excuse to fire him - definately some bigger / longer list of issues behind it. At any reasonable company it would just be a "we'll take it out of your next lay check" type issue especially at the executive level.

like

Nah, Amazon is known to have very toxic culture.

like

Guy sounds like an entitled jerk who wasn’t fired for upgrading but instead for being a boorish jerk. They just used the upgrade situation to justify the firing. Easiest HR trick in the book... comb through the expenses and you’re bound to find some discrepancy.

Suggestions on a town that is resonably close to the Boston Airport and still affordable (under $700k for a single family home), also have a kid so schools are eventually going to be important. Suggestions?? Resonably close to the airport to me is an hour or less of car/commuter ride. I am thinking we may have to travel at some scale over the next year and beyond hence the proximity to Bos Logan is important.

Being an integral part of their support system is part of the role and I love helping, but Im unable to get to my own work done and feel as though I’m probably enabling this a little bit. I want them to learn to troubleshoot and build strategies for themselves that will help further their careers.

Looking for recommendations for a rear facing car seat that reclines well. Currently have a Nuna rava. My first was fine with it, but my 2nd (who is 1+) seems to get car sick and pukes on longer trips. She loves her nuna pipa infant seat though (basically lying down) and never gets sick in that. We're keeping her in the pipa for as long as possible, but I need to find a convertible option soon. Curious what other moms in similar situations picked.
