Hi Everyone,
I just received an offer to work as an software sales representative (SDR) for IBMs Z systems. I'm coming as a sales engineer in the cloud security space. Can anyone advise me on whether Z systems are something worth going into? Also what do the growth opportunities look like at IBM? Is there opportunity for lateral movement onto other teams? Not too sure how I feel about working on mainframes (Z systems) but they keep pitching hybrid cloud to me. IBM

Haven’t heard a single person say runners should stay indoors
OP yes... That's exactly what I'm saying. It sucks but it's time to put on big girl and big boy pants and accept that sometimes you have to do things that suck. If people actually committed to this back in January, we'd have been over this thing in a month.
Wait so all we have to do in New York is run, then we’re safe? Cool!

Yes that’s exactly what the article says 🙄
Ok pence. Go listen to the health experts now instead of doing your own research.

Did you read the article?

I read another article from scientists saying that it would be near impossible for a runner to contract COVID while out on a jog, even without a mask.
Annoyed of the people who are saying we shouldn’t go outside and go on runs.
Yes and I completely agree that the considerations are different for a runner not downtown or in “confined” areas like sidewalks with a bunch of other people. Obviously a runner like in your example wouldn’t pose a risk to others. My point is specifically for the people in downtown areas.
But with your response about “taking your chances” you seem to have missed my main point. No one is talking about your chances or the risk to you. It’s you risking others’ health.
Run on the spot.

Scientists have been wrong on a lot of preliminary studies about coronavirus. It’s prudent to err on the side of caution and make people stay inside. Let’s wait for some conclusive evidence, not a one-off study.

Open a window/get sunlight in your backyard and exercise inside. It’s not that hard.
