What buckets would you generally use for cases?
Hey all, anyone have insight into LEK’s final round for Associates? I was told it would consist of 3x 30 min cases (quant, strategy, business logic). My first round quant was market sizing, and strategy was market entry so not sure if it will be the same, but also not sure what business logic consists of. Also, assuming it will be with Principals and Partners? Any other tips from current or former L.E.K. Consulting people, or anyone who’s gone through the process would be great!

Focus on drills during the week and case with other people on weekends.
If you have to case during the week choose Monday/Tuesday evening.
And if you do get a job chances are you’ll have to work while exhausted all the time, so that’s a good test
I really can't push myself to do more work at home and I've been struggling at time. I even try to bribe myself sometimes. But when I do get that extra energy, I start small so I won't get drained easily.
I think it’s about trying to squeeze in what you can and studying smarter not harder. Listen, for those of us with jobs, we are in the real world and likely have more business experience and naturally, more easily think more creatively about this stuff than people in school who actually might be a bit rigid and less experienced. This is what I tell myself to feel better haha.
Start small. Do a little bit everyday and pace yourself. Make some milestones and work towards them. You got this OP
I have struggled with this too. I have been listening to podcasts while driving, so there’s that.
Yes! I’m doing that course actually. And sometimes the Strategy simplified podcast. Any that you like?? I also just started listening to my usual podcasts differently. Marketplace, which covers business news, is really good and I just listen more closely as they think about different angles of business and economics. I noticed Thursday they interviewed people from Ey-Parthenon and Alix. A while back they interviewed a candy shop owner and went through her supply chain. I was like, ok, who knew 😂 I think a lot of this case stuff is hard for people with limited business experience but if you’re exposed to a lot and can discipline your thinking, you might be better off than you think. If you want to practice lmk. I’m starting out.
You’re gonna have to sacrifice a weekend or two to get up to date on core skills tbh. Then casing can be more flexible. Casing with a friend is also a lot more chill than the actual studying IMO anyway
