For those who dabble in Bull put spreads, is it profitable/effective to roll up your spreads as the stock price increases? E.g. I have a put spread on BA at 200/210, would it make sense to roll it up to 230/240 if I’m bullish on BA?

Yes. I usually wait for pull backs to roll on a decent entry, but you can roll sooner since you are so far OTM you have minimal premium left to collect. But I probably wouldn’t jump right to 230/240 with the recent run to 245. It could pull back on you and get stuck between levels leaving you at a losing position for the bulk of the life.

I have April BA 220/225s and am pretty content to keep it that far until the end of March.

Hi! My husband had a pituitary tumor apoplexy less than a year ago that took 90% of his sight rendering him unable to work. I am looking for a flexible data entry job that I could do “on the side” to help ends meet. I have been in Product Management for over 20 years and am very good with data and details. My life revolves around computers! Any suggestions would be appreciated! (Bonus points to anyone that also knows of a job a mostly blind person could do from home!!!)

I’m going crazy in Audit, I’m an A2. I think I’m going to try and transition to consulting. Would it be smarter to stay within the firm or go to a new one, and is there a half-step I should take (such as going to TAS for a year or so) before going into consulting? I just want more exposure to companies I work on than just the audit, it doesn’t feel like stuff I’ll be using in 5 years (but I’d be happy to be proven wrong on that). Business strategy/biz dev is catching my interest recently.

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
