For those who do not wish to submit to compulsory vaccination and weekly testing, when do you plan on having that tough conversation with your partner? As RSM just announced it will comply with the Presidents order, do we wait or do we have the conversation now?

What discussion do you think you will be able to have if they said they will follow the order? Also does RSM do any government contract work? If so, you may fall under the contractor rules which appears to take away the weekly testing option.

I’d figure out when it is going into place, though that seems to be right now. Then have a meeting with your partner and give your two week notice start two weeks prior to that date. Seems pretty simple?

Firms are not going to pay the $14,000 penalty per employee for noncompliance. This is not a tough conversation. Get the vaccine or submit to weekly testing. If not, best of luck to you. Bye.

likeupliftingsmarthelpful

I also have consulted with my personal physician who told me I don’t need the vaccine because I have antibodies from recovering from Covid.

funny

I’m really looking for others who are contemplating having the conversation and not “just get the jab and shut up” comments. Thanks In advance.

Even if her tweet was ridiculous. It’s how the cancel culture folks attacked her and tried to silence her. She was having none of that.

funny

Are you willing to terminate your employment over this? Because that is the option being given. Jab, test, or walk. Or maybe be willing to have your pay docked $14,000 - that seems fair.

Considering that the Supreme Court struck down the CDC’s eviction moratorium, the same principles should apply here. OSHA does not produce legislation. They do not have unlimited powers over the private sector. However the constitutionality of this may not come to light after we have lost our employment.

like

Second this, do a history check. Supreme Court had and will based on case law uphold vaccines.

Start looking for another job. No one will want to work with you. Good luck getting left behind in both your career and society.

likesmartfunny

I would think so it’s the same thing. Applicable across the board, no?

I don’t understand why this is tough, are you also opposed to weekly testing?

like

Ok good luck then. I would not expect RSM to accept ignoring the order as an option though

like

I’m against getting the vaccine. Not that I don’t believe in “Covid” or vaccines but the fact I don’t want one. But might have to just shut up and get one, do not have a real choice. Media and government can control humans, the vaccine is a testament to that. Next is microchip humans for the greater good of society.. And if you think it’s a joke.. well then so be it 🤫

Agree, it is just old news and extra crap on my plate.

Not quite that simple. You can have the convo. I would not quit. The legality and constitutionality of this will be sorted out.

likefunny

The legality has been sorted out already. It is legal

Hey fishies! I’m switching employers and need to pick my medical benefits. I’m looking at either the Aetna A3 EPO or the Aetna G3 POS because these are free (no cost to me). anyone have any advice? I’m 26M, no underlying/preexisting health issues. generally get a physical each year. The EPO is $0 deductible, but the POS has the HSA. is the HSA worth having a $2,700 deductible vs no HSA and $0 deductible? Thanks in advance!

Anyone else experiencing strain in your relationships being at home all day with your significant other? I usually did well separating work things stress, priorities etc… when I was traveling. Literally able to leave it behind at the office and take my commute home either flying or otherwise as my time to myself to decompress so ready to take on family life when I got home. But with WFH I find myself struggling with this as stress is bleeding in with how I interact at home.

I just want to hear the explanation for why staff who started during COVID are doing so badly on average (and I have heard this from every level including staff themselves) from the pro 100 percent work from home people. If you agree it’s real, what is your solution? If it can’t be fixed, are we just accepting that the people we expect to backfill our positions aren’t going to be ready?
