Isn’t the Canadian job market really small? It can’t possibly accommodate every h1b visa holder trying to immigrate. Aatma nirbhar bano

Major job crisis in canada (see covid). I think without any connections itd be super hard to get a decent job.
Like australians like to say "F*ck off, we're full!"
One thing about Canada is that a lot of companies would ask you for Canadian work experience, which new immigrants won't have. They will prioritize those with prior Canadian work experience or those that graduated from Canadian universities. This was my observation back in 2017-2018. A lot of times, new immigrants have to accept lower titles in Canada and then gradually build their experience up, even if they immigrated from US or UK and had good jobs in other countries. The job market is Canada is also very fragmented. All of this is to say that you'll have to be very patient and may have to take a step backward in your career if you decide to immigrate there at first, before you can jump forward.
