For those who have roommates and contracted covid, how did you and your roommate(s) dealt with the situation sharing an apt? Did everyone just end up with covid? Looking for tips/tricks and how long the whole process took.

@author testing negative isn’t really a measure of when you are not contagious. You can test negative up to 90 days so don’t rely on that. We stayed in seperate rooms and wore masks in the bathroom etc

Just stay in your own rooms and wear a mask when not

I had Covid super early in April 2020 and my 3 roommates and I would share vapes/joints together and stay in the living room with no masks. None of them ever ended up getting Covid as weird as that sounds. Whatever you chose to do, just make sure you all do the same thing - we chose to just not leave the apt for 2 weeks until I was clear since so much was unknown back then

Stay In your room and avoid sharing stuff with them. That’s what I did and my roommate was fine

I stayed in my tiny room for 10 days with window open, they shared the other bathroom. I ordered every meal delivery and the brought it to my bedroom door. It wasn’t fun, but for what it’s worth, they were covid free.

Are you or them vaccinated?

OP glad you’re all vaccinated! If it helps (anecdotal story) my friends husband got Covid from a wedding a couple weeks ago, and she never got it despite sharing a room / bed. They are both vaxxed!

My ex wife was ranting about the latest season of American Horror Story and I jokingly said something and she responded by stating, as a matter of fact, that Eisenhower negotiated a treaty with Aliens so that in exchange for 5,000 citizens each year, we get peace with Aliens. She’s also anti-vax despite having been hospitalized for 4 days with COVID. I’m speaking to a lawyer this week, but am I unreasonable to think this thinking and behavior is grounds to modify our custody agreement?

Boomers are often considered selfish, right? Consider the following: People over the age of 75 comprise 54% of COVID deaths. At that age, the actuarial tables aren’t exactly favorable to begin with. By contrast, people under the age of 50 comprise 7% of COVID deaths. Throwing the world into a state of absolute chaos (thereby sticking younger generations with the long-term consequences) is next level.

I’m trying to make the jump from agency > platform (not FB…more like Spotify or Twitter etc.). I work with reps at these places as part of my job, but technically their loyalty is to my clients (the ones spending $ on their platform), not to me, working at the client’s creative agency. So it feels weird asking them for a recommendation or referral, but that would obviously be easier than applying on the jobs site... How do I utilize my “network” without making things awkward?
