I really like this house that’s selling for $275k. I want to put in an offer, but think it’s realistically worth $255-$260k. The house is being sold by a company ie Orchard. Should I just buy the house since I like it or do I wait for prices to come down in the next few weeks and look for another house to not overpay?
how much time tcs takes to release offer. I am cleared with all interview .

Random question: to those in high rises in River North/Streeterville/Gold Coast/etc. who is your Internet Service Provider? I’m likely moving into the area shortly and from the places I’ve checked, AT&T fiber & Xfinity high speed cable don’t seem to be widely available.
Anyone knows about Altimetrik company? If yes please provide some information about the company.
Salesforce reps or anyone familiar. What are some of the better products/segments to sell into? Cloud (Service, sales, platform, mulesoft etc), core rep, or vertical? Would also appreciate any insight into what’s it’s like to be in the sales org there overall
Is principal (formerly called senior manager) in a sub division of bcg (platinion) better than associate principal in McKinsey?

Here’s an entirely unrelated to work question, but one that’s entirely “rooted” in vanity. Has anyone had any experience with Bosley or other hair restoration procedures? If so, what was your experience?
What are some of the most influential factors which helped shape your career and led to a successful rise up to PPMD level ?
Anyone else feel more disconnected from the younger people after mid 40s? I understood their plight, knew the lingo, knew what kind of in-person gatherings would be fun, etc. All of a sudden I feel like I have no idea how to connect. I want them to get off my lawn and I’ve never felt that way before. Just looking for an ear.
Im a fourth year partner. The clients are good, workload is manageable, have a great team and a great boss. But I'm just not motivated to go and kill it anymore. It just feels more of the same thing. Also, I keep having a feeling that I could be doing a lot more if I were in a startup or in a different corporate role. The only reason that stops me from doing any of this is that money here is good and I worked really hard to get here. Any advice?
For partners, can you offer me some benchmarks out there for % base vs bonus and total cash comp on upper end?
If you had financial sponsorship from the firm and acceptance into 2 of the top 5 schools would you do an emba (FYI there would be no relief on sales targets / practice p&ls or Billability )?
FYI, all: McKinsey works for oil companies. I know no other firms ever would do such a thing, so wanted to get it off my chest. Thanks for listening.
Any folks have interesting alternate investments that do well and you would care to share? (e.g. franchises, non-financial market investments)
Are you folks able to keep up with reading books (any genre)? If yes, how long on average does it take you to complete one?
Any suggestions on how to get an adjunct teaching role at a university. Don't need money or prestige. I enjoy teaching and gives me something to do when I retire in ~10 yrs. Many colleagues who do this are big alumni donors. My Alma mater is too far away to be practical option. I'm an expert in a very in demand field - get quoted in articles all the time but have not been able to connect with anyone in academia.
So here's a random one. I'm considering the Samsung Galaxy Flip 3 (not the larger Fold). Anybody already make that leap? If so, what do you think so far? I'm nervous about the battery life, which is reported to be quite limited.
What is the Partner culture at McKinsey like right now? I am considering making a lateral move.
I'm an Accenture Managing Director considering a move to Deloitte. I've got 15 - 20 yrs possibly left in my career. Any thoughts on Managing Director vs Principal?
Any partners transfer from Big4 or Accenture to MBB and live to tell the tale? Did you like the change? Did you fit with the culture?
I’m interested to hear from anyone who has stepped away from being a Partner. I am finding that I simply cannot balance work and personal life and be a good “partner” in both aspects. We’re you able to find a new career which enabled you to fulfil your ambitions whilst being a good husband/wife/parent?
Joining Accenture as a lateral MD next month. Any inputs on how to build network and connect with fellow MDs, especially in a remote setup? Are people open to collaborate with “outsiders” at a senior level, or should I expect friction with people protecting their turf and sticking to their own connections? How is the work culture like at MD level? For context, I will join strat and consulting.
Not even proud... especially given that my sleep goal isn’t too lavish in the first place. How are you folks coping?

Does anyone provide contact of a good lawyer to deal and take care of non compete, non solicitation clauses as a part of exit process?

I’ve done three rounds over 7 years. The coaching part is helpful. The 360 they collect is invaluable. One round was subordinates and seniors, one mostly clients, one mostly peers. It helped me materially inflect some style things.
Some of it was hard but almost all of it was helpful. I’d rather know and evolve than not know and have it persist.
F. Very curious as well!
I've always wondered if these were just scams
Our firm contracts with an external provider and if you sign up for one, they send you a questionnaire and then a bunch of profiles that kinda fit your ask in terms of type of focus / areas that you want to be coached on.
I took up the service and interviewed 3-5 career coaches and found one that “clicked” in terms of style and background and have just started. Will see how it goes!
DM me if that’s ok?
I used one for improving “executive presence”. I liked it. Tips and tricks, both internally and externally on how to act more confident, especially with more senior leaders. I’m a fairly young MBB Partner and much younger than many of my clients (providers).
Oh - it was free through the Firm.
I’ve used an internal one. Found it very helpful. I would find someone who understands the business, whom you respect, but will give you hard messages. It’s worth it.
I have done two plus an executive leadership cohort. Exceptionally valuable.
Make sure they know/understand your firm and it’s expectations/culture.
I had never thought about getting a 360 including clients but that sounds very helpful. I have scheduled coaching for the first time and interested to see what insights I get.
Intuitively I think it will be very helpful not so different from a physical coach which is helpful even if I know how to train.
I've done a few rounds. My biggest recommendation is to get somebody who has experience in consulting - and preferably in the consulting firm you work for. So much of what we do as partners is industry specific, and having someone who understands the internal dynamics and politics is much more impactful than the generic advice that an external advisor could give.
I have a good one. She helped me a lot.
