No regrets whatsoever. I can't put a price on how much my mental health has improved now that I'm out of the consulting rat race. Given everything has been virtual so far, the work and relationships doesn't feel much different than in consulting. How easy the transition is will likely depends on what you value. I can see it being harder for more extroverted people who need that interaction with their new coworkers
Not only are the benefits and salary better, but they are working on improving benefits and giving more days off to all employees. Exiting to industry was the best decision I made this year. Also the work is way more mentally stimulating.

Agreed! My team has 2 recharge days every month now (2 free days off) which is AWESOME

I’m in a technical role so it’s been harder to get things working on my own (much harder to work through debugging code on a video call) but other than that it’s been fine. A bit harder to network but my team has been super welcoming and helpful
Probably depends on the size of company and industry (e.g., IT / tech is more used to remote work and collaboration than say healthcare)
