Modeling different scenarios, every IM you write is different, different issues on the various due diligence work streams, fdd is usually just a rubber stamp for the deals I’ve been involved in and it happens when everything is pretty much already done on the deal
Why are people trying to compare career tracks in a definitive term. It really depends. X at Big 4 FDD will have different take on the same career as Y at the same firm.
Just live the life, take care of your loved ones. Man I sound like a pastor, but that's the truth to arriving at a happy/healthy life early on, not how much you get paid at work - once you are paid sufficiently enough.
Deloitte US, 121k employees 23 billion rev. 2.5x the employees of Goldman with less than half the revenue
You can’t compare just advisory because big 4 partner comp doesn’t work that way, advisory partners don’t collect 2x audit and tax. Big law pays similar to BB IB at the top and their profits per partner absolutely shit on ours. These pay increases have really gone to everyone’s head lol
Does anyone have experience with Eide Bailly TAS? There are less than 15 people on LinkedIn that say they are in Eide Bailly TAS. Are they brand new and growing? Or do they just have a really small operation. Slightly hesitant to go there if it’s that small.

IB is a better career that’s all you need to know. Presented the opportunity to jump for a reputable bank take it.
It’s much more ad hoc and requires problem solving. I found fdd was pretty much the same analysis deal after deal.

Highly arguable as a better career unless you want to be perpetually single and/or without a family. If that’s your goal, have a day!

Comparatively how much better is IB vs FDD? I am in FDD and I am thankful that I do have a life outside of work. How does that look in IB?
